What you'll do
I will give an overview about Russian contemporary winemaking sector, as it's an emerging industry still in the process of development, so not only foreigners but also the vaste majority of Russian people do not know much about it's current state which leads to misconceptions and underestimation of Russian wines. Unfornately it's nearly impossible to encounter some information about Russian vineyards in famous wine guides and books, so I will lead you to some really unique knoweldge that I've carefully collected all these years. Of course after an interesting theoretical part we will smoothly move to the practice of degustation, and I will present 6 of the most significant Russian wines thar are currently presented on the market and which to my opinion can turn the opinion about Russian wines from head to bottom. Depending on your previous degustation experience I'll also give some somelier hints about wine and degustation in general (how to evaluate a wine from the bottle itself and the first nose till the after taste) and all together we will evaluate all of the presented wines, defining their aroma and taste characterisctics, making some breaks for delicious snacks.
I'm the founder of 2 wine clubs- in Kunming, China (International Wine Club) and in Moscow, Russia (Art and Wine Club). Through all my life during my numerous trips I have visited more than 30 vineyards all over the world and one day I realized that I want to share all this wine experience and philosophy of one the most ancient and beautiful process such as wine making. I got both WSET 1 and 2 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) and started wine lectures, degustations and events connected to wine and art. All I want is to bring knowledge about wine in an easy and relaxed way to those who enjoy drinking it but would love to do more consciously, as I always used to say - the more you know, the more you enjoy it.

Where you'll be
We will meet in the very heart of Moscow (station Novokuznetzaya) in an bright small cafe, tasty snacks and a cosy atmosphere. As a degustation is not a fast process, we will make some breaks when needed, there is the possibility to go outside of the cafe where's some benches and an amazing neighbourhood to enjoy the wine on the fresh air. After the degustation you can easily continue you way to the main attractions or some nice restaurants.
