About your host

I'm a native Oslo girl. Since I was little, I've always loved going for walks in the forest - the air, the scents, the trees and the birds. I am a content writer and an actress. My passion is improvised theater, which I perform and teach regularly. I love meeting new people, talking about life and enjoying the moment.

What we’ll do

We'll take the 56 bus from Storo to Solemskogen. From there, we'll hike in the woods. We'll hike on narrow trails through the nature reserve in Grytedalen, eat lunch at the cabin café, Lilloseter, and walk back to the bus stop on a gravel road. We'll walk approximately 8 kilometers, and it will take 3 to 5 hours, depending on how fast we walk and how long we stay for lunch.

What else you should know

If you like to hike, balance on some rocks as you cross a small stream and be outdoors for some hours, this trip is for you. Eat a good breakfast and check the weather forcast before you go.

What I’ll provide

Outdoor gear
I will carry a backpack. You can put most of your stuff in it, if you don't have a backpack.

What to bring

Comfy shoes
A bottle of water per person
Sun screen
Sun glasses
Lunch/sandwich
Camera
An extra sweather

Where you'll be

The forest right north of Oslo, Lillomarka, is a beloved hiking area for many citizens. There are cabin cafés (where you can buy coffee and baked goods), small lakes, gravels roads, narrow trails and a rich wild life in the area. Like most Norwegian forests, the landscape is hilly and varied.
