What you'll do
Come to discover the amazing nature of the Cagliari area, where you’ll have the chance to experience a photography walk in the best set ever: nature. Immerse yourselves into a world of granite rocks, endemic plants species, silence, wind, and in the midst of a wood of oak trees. If you love to walk and to take photos, that's definitely the good experience for you! I will introduce you with the basics of photography (if needed) and lend you my digital camera if you don't have your own. Photography teaches us a way of seeing what surrounds us under a different light and to give importance to details that we usually do not perceive. Our sight can be captured by the inputs that we receive from light, parfums, shapes, sounds. There is a way we can learn how to express what we experience into pictures. The aim of this walk is to appreciate the landscapes, the silence, share a good moment together and go back home with some images of Sardinia that are not the usual postcards from the beach-side! Thanks to this experience, you will look at Sardinia in a completely different way!
I’m Emanuela, I was born in Cagliari, Sardinia, in 1987. After studying Political Science at Roma Tre University for two years, I graduated with a degree in Philosophy at the University of Trento. I approached photography in 2009, as I started working with a documentary crew involved in a project about Carbosulcis, the last Italian coal mine, located in Nuraxi Figus, Sardinia. After taking part in a number of workshops and collaborations, I was admitted to the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France. I graduated with honours in 2015. In 2016 I was awarded a scholarship for a 5-month residence at the Centro de la Imagen in Lima, Peru. In the summer of 2016 I moved back to Sardinia and since then I have been working between Italy and France.
I will bring some italian coffee to restore us after the walk
I will bring my personal camera, but you can also bring your own.

Where you'll be
We will go to the Regional park of Sette Fratelli (about 25 minutes from Cagliari by car) to discover one of the most extended forest of Sardinia. We will walk thought the wood to find the best spots to take our photos, looking for the good light to portrait our models: the trees, the granit rocks, the landscape... and ourselves of course!
