I'm a proud New Yorker and a proud queer woman and a proud chef. When I'm not throwing Queer Soup Night parties all over the country, I'm reimagining Old World Jewish Foods with my company, The Gefilteria. I'm devoted to creating an environment of warmth and positivity in all that I do, and I think it makes the food taste better!

I came because I knew one of the chefs and I stayed because I felt welcome, I talked to many people, I enjoyed my time there: it felt a party among friends even though I didn't know anybody there

I feel so honored to have been a part of this event. To be able to break bread and listen to the stories of other people just felt genuinely great. The sense of community in the room really made everyone feel at home among strangers.
