Prato is known all over the world for its textile industry. Prato is a great place to visit to understand the origin of the medieval Comunes and their development into the Renaissance. Here you can see works of Donatello, Della Robbia. It also a great place for unique culinary experiences: after dawn the city center is enlivened by the guests of dozens of nice little restaurants and wine bars. For trekking enthusiasts there are beautiful hills and mountains tracks to explore. While those interested in the industrial development of the XIX and early XX centuries there are amazing buildings and private collections to visit. It boasts several milestones of Europe industrial heritage. Contemporary art is very well represented in the Pecci Museum.
