Great tour about Montmartre and the history of the area. It was very worth it and useful for the rest of the visit to Paris. Even though we were a French and Spanish, our guide explained everything in English and French languages when needed.

tl;dr - I highly recommend booking this tour. Laurent & Arthur are kind, generous and knowledgeable, along with being great storytellers. I booked a last-minute trip to Paris from neighboring Switzerland. I had 24 hours to enjoy Paris and return home. On the train ride there, I decided to book a last-minute (4 hours before meetup time) tour of the Montmartre area. I had been before, but I knew that a tour by a local would be more enjoyable than just walking around again aimlessly. I wasn't sure if they would be able to give such a last-minute tour, but Laurent said it was possible, so shortly after checking in to my hotel, I got on the metro to meet Arthur. Arthur came prepared to share his passion of Montmartre with me. I lucked out and ended up with a private tour. His tablet was filled with photos of artists and their artwork along with historical photos of the area. The stories he told painted a wonderful picture of Montmartre as we walked around on a lovely day. There was a contagious excitement as he told these stories, and I couldn't help but be interested in what he had to say (even as someone who isn't as passionate about history, art or otherwise). In addition to the wonderful and informative tour with Arthur, I had a great experience with Laurent, whom I had not met. 10 minutes before my train left back to Switzerland, I realized that my wallet had been stolen. I wondered if I had left it at the grocery store before I had gotten to the train station, but I couldn't get a hold of anyone at the store. Because Laurent was the only person in Paris that I had contact with, I asked if he knew anyone in the area who could swing by the store and ask about my wallet. He was so empathetic with his response and then offered to go to the store himself as well as asking his contacts at the train station about my wallet. I mean, hello?? He's never even met me! I was so grateful. Even though my wallet was not found, just this experience made me love Paris a little more. I hope that at some point in the future, I can pay this forward. Thanks Laurent & Arthur!!

We had a wonderful walk with Arthur. He was very intelligent, kind and professional. We discovered a lot of new places in Montmartre! 2,5 hours felt like 1 min and surprisingly we were not tired at all. Arthur knows a lot about history of Paris and France, he told us so many interesting stories. I would really recommend this tour to all of my friends. And can’t wait to come back to have another tour like this. Also i really appreciate how thoughtful and kind Arthur was. It really feels that he likes what he’s doing and he can share his passion for history with people.
