What you'll do
The cooking class with Cátia is perfect for visiting a local market where we will buy some groceries that we will use and to feel the local environment. Then we will prepare the meal in our kitchen located at the city center near the Train Station São Bento, where Cátia will teach you how to cook the Portuguese traditional meal. We encourage our guests to help/learn, but if you just want to watch, enjoy the meal and the conversation is perfectly fine. Food you will have during the tour: - Olives, lupines, grilled sausages, Alheira with marmalade mayonnaise, Cod dish, Pastel de Nata. Drinks included: - Water and juices, red or green wine, espresso. Feel free to join us and to understand not only about the food we have at the tour but also much more such as Portuguese food influence around the world.

Catia & David
Hello, i'm Catia, the Co-founder of C&D Porto Local Tours. Although tourism was not my first choice when I studied, when I had the opportunity to work in Hotels and Resorts as part of the animation team I fell in love with the contact with people of other nationalities and with what we can learn and teach during our day- to-day, amusing ourselves immensely. When I returned to Porto in 2013 I decided to dedicate myself to what I really liked, cooking and lodging. The adventure as host of AIRBNB began, and in parallel as a guide to Food and Wine. However now in a familiar environment, I intend to teach all interested the secrets of our kitchen, in a typical environment that AIRBNB provides.
Lupines, Olives, flaming Chorizo, "Alheira" Sausage, Codfish dish and Pastel de Nata.

Where you'll be
The market of Bolhão, where the tour begins is under reconstruction. The temporary market of Bolhão, is where all the merchants are located with the authentic atmosphere not only of a traditional market, but also of the city of Porto. The way to our apartment is through the narrow streets where we can always go through historic storefronts and talk about traditions and customs.
