What you'll do
When wandering through Lyon, you will quickly realize how important small details are. It is an easy thing to learn the great story of Lyon, but it requires patience to know everything about its little secrets. Lyon loves to hide its most beautiful assets up high, on the walls of its buildings or behind what seems to be an ordinary door. If you want to fully understand the city, you will have to look ahead, watch closely every single stone and squeeze through every little streets. From the Guillotière bridge, main entrance to Lyon up until the XIXth century, to the 'Jardin des Curiosités', up on the Fourvière hill, I will guide you through Lyon, telling you stories its inhabitants often ignore. The true story to our Lights festival, a legend about a massive crocodile, the last memory of a trip Mozart made here, the strange golden sculpture built for our Basilica... Here are few examples of stories we will discover together throughout our walk. After this tour, that I can adapt to match your desires, you will know Lyon better than your own city !
Born and raised in Lyon, I never left this city more than a few months. Former student in political sciences (Sciences Po Lyon), where I studied Lyon's history, I have always loved the small stories behind the greater one. Thanks to my work as a journalist, writer and archivist, I discover new anecdotes about my hometown day after day. From the 1st district where I am currently living, I enjoy guiding my friends along the city and telling everything about the rich heritage of Lyon. For 27 years, I have been re-discovering my hometown every single time I wandered through it.

Where you'll be
Apart from Lyon's main landmarks and famous monuments, like the 'Place Bellecour', the Saint-Jean cathedral, the Fourvière Basilica or the Roman Theatre, I will make sure you can discover everything hidden deep inside a 'traboule', at the corner of a small street, under your feet or above your head. Higgledy-piggledy, I will show you the exact place where a President was once shot dead, a one of a kind astronomical clock and... A ski slope in the city centre !
