What you'll do

We will start at 8:00 am, first we will welcome and go to the pens to move the goats from there to the milking room, once here we will feed them and start the milking task in order to obtain the milk necessary to make the cheese. We then take the milk to the cheese making room and add the rennet, in which the fermented rennet (45min approximately) will give us time to taste the different types of cheese and typical products of the island what we do on the farm. Once the milk is fermented, we proceed to the preparation of the cheese, which will consist of a cheese cloth, which will be vacuum packed so that it can be taken away.

My name is David, a native of the island, I am passionate about the world of livestock, I have been taking care of goats since I was a child. Since I was little, my grandparents have taught me how to make the different and exquisite types of goat cheeses on the island to become a true expert. For 3 years I have been able to fulfill my dream and start a family business with La casa del queso Cabrera Perez sl, where I enjoy every day teaching visitors to know the care of the goats and the development of our cheeses.

Die Käserei von David ist ein wunderbarer Platz für all seine Tiere und besonders für seine Ziegen! Man lernt erst etwas über den Prozesses der Ziegenkäseherstellung und dann darf man selbst ran. Es wird bevor man etwas gemeinsam macht immer vorher erklärt und gezeigt. Nach dem Melken darf man die Ziegen füttern und streicheln und vor allem die kleinen Ziegen einfach nur lieb haben. Man merkt einfach in jedem Vorgang die Liebe zu den Tieren von David und seinen Mitarbeitern. Nachdem man die Milch gemolken hat und die Tiere versorgt sind, stellt man seinen eigenen Käse (1kg pro Person!!!!) her. Der krönende Abschluss dieses wunderbaren Erlebnisses ist das Frühstück und die Verkostung der Käsevarianten! Sehr zu empfehlen und immer einen Besuch wert.

Merece muchísimo la pena realizar la visita. A los urbanitas nos viene bien conocer los procesos de producción tradicionales y este es un muy buen sitio para hacerlo. Gran trato por parte de los anfitriones, preocupándose de que todo este a nuestro gusto y haciéndonos partícipes del proceso de elaboración del queso. Como colofon, cata en la terraza.muy recomendable!

Belle expérience au milieu des chèvres pour découvrir la fabrication du fromage typique de l’île. Nous avons tenté l’expérience avec 4 de enfants de 6 à 13 ans qui ont adoré. Les adultes aussi. Merci!
