What you'll do

We begin the tour in the Plaza de Aguada. You will learn about the beautiful history of the town as we explore some of the iconic buildings together. (Theater, Parish, City Hall) We walk towards the historical murals and explore the street of the boutiques.

Then, we visit the place where Christopher Columbus landed and learn a little more about the time of the conquest and our native Tainos while enjoying the views of the bay and the town's beaches.

Afterwards, we make a stop to taste a cane juice and from there we go to the Aguada Pyramid to take photos. Finally we will visit my private museum, where you will see collections of antiques from Puerto Rico, old photos, paintings and crafts from Aguada and Puerto Rico while enjoying a cup of local coffee.

My name is Christian Acevedo. I have a bachelor's degree in History of Puerto Rico. I work at the Aguada Cultural Center and on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Culture.
I also work for the Aguada and San Juan tourism company. I have been giving tours since 2016. For me, tourism is the best way to share the history of my town and my country. I own a small museum to preserve the history of my town and also a bed and breakfast.

Where you'll be

Aguada is a beautiful town, with a lot of history that very few know. Its streets and beaches reflect a town with more than 500 years of history.
The best thing about Aguada is its people, who receive you as another member of the family. The museum is my own house turned into an exhibition where you can appreciate art, photos and antiques that I have collected for 12 years. So, you will visit a private museum and an authentic Puerto Rican hause.
