What we’ll do

We will meet at the riverside in Earlston. I will introduce you to the poles and we will do some drills to teach you the technique. I will then take you on a guided walk on local paths to introduce you to the local area.

What else you should know

Wear comfy clothing and footwear. Be awareness of the weather. Bring waterproofs if weather is to be wet. Try not to wear anything that has cords or belts that may get caught up in poles.

Where you'll be

The experience will be located in the village of Earlston. Home of Thomas The Rhymer. On our walk we will pass the ruins of his old tower. There are also many other routes we could take depending on fitness level. Walking along the river leader to Leaderfoot. To the small hamlet of Redpath. On to the top of the Black Hill. Cowdenknowes House an ancient peel tower. Deer Street and parts of the Southern Upland Way are also accessible.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 4 guests aged 18 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
