What you'll do
We'll be immersing you in Australian honey and beeswax candles! Learn the tricks of the beeswax candle rolling trade from Cate, the judge for beeswax candles & beeswax at the National Honey Show! You'll put those skills to use rolling a couple of beeswax taper candles. Then get in touch with your inner artist and hand paint a candle which you'll also take home with you. (You'll be happy to know that we've never seen a candle that didn't look good despite most people saying they're "not artistic"!) Finish the experience tasting up to a dozen different varieties of Australian honey (served with an amazing local sourdough and a local butter)!
I started hand making beeswax candles around 15 years ago as a hobby and that hobby grew into Queen B. We now make around 150,000 pure Australian beeswax candles a year from our hive in Brookvale. I'm passionate about nature, bees, non-toxic living and making & sharing light. I love that the flame of a candle can great timeless memories and that this new experience brings richness to your life.
