About your host

I’m a local artist and touring unique areas is something I'm passionate about. I've been to 26 countries and have lived in Korea, Thailand, Grenada, Mexico, and New Zealand. I speak Spanish and a little French. As a former guide for international students, I was able to show off my city. Kensington Market is by far my favorite area to explore. No chain stores here—only creativity in abundance.

What we’ll do

I love Kensington and I used to be a resident of this truly alternative Toronto neighborhood tucked behind Chinatown. Kensington is a multicultural area and we’ll walk around and discuss the history of how different waves of immigrants changed its vibe throughout the decades. We’ll visit two cool clothing stores and a Rasta shop that sells amazing shea butter. We’ll also check out a famous pot…

What else you should know

Where you'll be

We'll meet in the heart of Chinatown and walk to Kensington, a cool area with its plethora of colorful houses, funky clothing shops, and international restaurants. Around halfway through our walk, we'll rest at the Pow Wow Cafe, a unique fusion Native Canadian eatery serving its famous Indian taco.
