Asakusa Night Photography Workshop

Asakusa Night Photography Workshop

During this evening workshop, I'll teach you how to capture the beauty of Tokyo by night. We'll start by going for dinner at an Izakaya—a casual Japanese restaurant similar to a pub—where I'll discuss what makes a night photograph interesting. I will also give you tips on the camera settings you need to get good…

I'm a Swedish photographer and journalist, and have lived in Tokyo since 2008. Through my work, I've covered most issues related to Japan, but travel is the topic I'm most passionate about. I've worked for media outlets like Bloomberg, Elle, TED, and GQ. My photos have also been used in advertising campaigns by VSCO and Marriott Hotels. I've also appeared on Japanese television a couple of times.

Where you'll be

We'll meet up near the Asakusa Station and will enjoy dinner at a local Izakaya, then head out to shoot at a few different locations in Tokyo. During the photo shoot, we'll cover how to photograph famous tourist attractions, urban landscapes, and a bit of street life.
