“Earth House is an adorable guest house. Spacious, clean and in a fabulous location to explore Tunis Village and the lakeside. Mohamed was very helpful and His mother Ikhram is warm and welcoming. Both speak English. If you are coming for a few days perhaps bring a few groceries as local shops are a 30 minute walk from Tunis Village. However there is a good, well priced restaurant across the road from the guest house.”

It consists of 2 floors: Ground floor: kitchen( fully equipped wz microwave), bed room ( 2 double beds), small reception with(tv+2 sofa beds+ air cooler+fire), a bathroom, big balcony (chairs+table) First floor: Bed room (1 double bed), reception (sofa bed), bathroom, a small balcony.
“This was one of the best experiences I ever had, the house is super nice with great architecture and beautiful interior taste, a perfect place to isolate yourself and relax away from pressures, it’s very close to Cairo. The host is such a decent and helpful person, Eid the watch Gaurd is always a phone call away, he is highly responsive, and helps you with a smile. You will find a wonderful collection of books in the house if you are a book lover. You may also enjoy going with your car for a drive to Tunis Village (around 1 hour away) but you will enjoy the way with a great view for the lake and greens, you can have wonderful Oriental lunch at Sobek while enjoying the sunset. Everything was super nice for me and my husband, the place is warm, cozy, the pool and the garden are enjoyable. The best thing was having all kind of appliances in great condition, heaters, water heaters, ACs, fans, kettle, fridge, microwave, washing machine...etc Just make sure you bring enough food and water and your personal towels Thank you Mahmoud for everything, we will sure come again”
Our little house is located in Tunis (Potter's village). This small initially poor village has been transformed by the passion and work of Evelyne Porret and Michel Pastore who have for over 40 years taught and experimented pottery with local girls and boys who have in their turn become passionate artists.
“A beautiful escape from the busyness of Cairo. We were greeted with a basket of fresh vegetables from the garden. The house is as pictured and has a well stocked kitchen. We loved the fireplace during these cold winter nights. Dina was very good at keeping in communication with us. The village itself has a lot to offer, 4x4 adventures can be booked, bird safaris, pottery shops to buy and a school to try your hand at throwing your own pottery, a lake... A wonderful treasure in Egypt!”
