My stay at The Melkkan was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, Willemien, the amazing host, made me feel right at home. Her warmth and hospitality were unmatched, setting the tone for a truly memorable visit. The restaurant is a delightful trip down memory lane, adorned with nostalgic memorabilia from days gone by. It’s more than a place to eat; it’s a charming escape into history. The farmhouse, dating back to the 1800s, is a well-preserved gem. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and great value for money. The breakfasts were delicious! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Always a great stay and a great host. A tranquil location with great surroundings.

Thank you for an amazing stay! I loved seeing the horses and getting to slip out early in the morning to go for a run. Everything was beautifully put together and clean, and I felt very welcome!

The place is really lovely. It is better in person than in pictures . If you need a place in Harrismith or take a quick break on the N3 then this is the place to book. Friendly stuff
