Calm surroundings and beautiful views. The house is old and is located in the farmhouse of Vattarnesi. Sheep is prone to coming in on the tin. The house consists of one bathroom with shower and kitchen where guests can cook. There are three bedrooms, two of them with a double bed and one with two single beds. We are not on the ring road (road number 1). The house is on the old ring road between Fáúðsfjörður and Reyðarfjörður, 19km from Fáskúðsfjörður and 29km from Reyðarfjörður.

The house has a kitchen unit and everything you need for simple cooking, a bathroom with a shower, and a gorgeous view down to Lagarfljót. Parking is just outside the door and easy access to the house. A guest house is ideal for relaxation from the city, and we recommend sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee, a good book, and enjoy.

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

Our Honeymoon cottage is the perfect place for those who seek a genuine Icelandic experience with a private hot tub overlooking the fiord. The cabin is just a couple of minute drive from Seydisfyordur. You might even spot some whales while having a bbq. Don’t miss to hike and visit Vestdalur waterfalls that is a short walk from the cabin. The cabin is provided with dvds, books and vintage video games.
