About 4 km north from the city of Horta is Almoxarife Beach. In the "a moagem" space, there is life in every corner, in the garden there is a water cistern and a threshing floor. It features traditional architecture, dating back to the beginning of the last century. At the mill, a philosophy based on the traditional and sustainable is practiced. It consists of: apartment, garden, handicraft workshop, farm with animals, vegetables, fruits and seeds of traditional varieties.

This tradicional stone house rightly bears the name "Casa Vista Fantástica". Look forward to a fantastic, unobstructed view of the wide Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring island of Pico with Portugal's highest mountain "Montanha do Pico", 2,351m. The rooms go up to the roof and convey a great feeling of space. The jewel of the house is the large conservatory, wich is glazed on 3 sides inluding the roof, and which might be better be called a summer garden.

The apartment is located in the charming Flamengos valley, 3 km from downtown Horta. The rooms are spacious, airy and with lots of natural light. Surrounded by 2,000 m2 of garden and farmland, with fantastic views of Horta Bay. Built in 1927 by Jaime Ferreira da Gama, grandfather of Jaime Gama, former President of the Portuguese Assembly, it was acquired in 1950 by our family and restored in 2006. It is located 850 m from the city center and 700 m from the Ferry Port. Enjoy this peaceful home with ample outdoor space, overlooking the fantastic views of Horta Bay.
