The main building is newly built in 2021 with new and fresh kitchen and bathroom. Wood-fired fireplace. Open, bright floor plan. Large windows and glass doors towards the lake. Newly built sauna (ready to use), but outside and gazebo are still under construction. Quiet area with proximity to the forest with nice trails, including Bergslagsleden. Golf course about 3 km away.

Forget about everyday worries in this spacious and peaceful space. Proximity to the ski slope and high location overlooking Yxsjön! Here is the swimming area with a jetty right in front of the house. And ski trails/exercise trails around the corner. Approximately 40 minutes' drive to Säfsen, approximately 1 hour's drive to Romme Alpin and 20 minutes to Fjällberget. It is also possible to have fun with other exciting experiences during the barland season such as biking, hiking trails, fishing, mushroom picking, swimming, etc. See more in my "guidebook".

Close to slalom slope, (Säfsen resort) cross country tracks, snowmobile trails, forests and lakes, hiking, mtb, fishing etc. About 200 meters to grocery store, pizzeria/pub, bakery and gas station. Fully equipped kitchen, Wifi, TV with great choice, outdoor barbecue area. Possibility to rent bed linen and terry 150 SEK/person and stay. We do not accept pets. FredrikLars farm by Nordmarksbergs Herrgård

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.
