Welcome to our Scandinavian timber-cladded cabin situated in a quiet rural setting only 6km from Athenry town with its medieval castle, cosy pubs, good restaurants, and shops. Athenry has rail/bus connections with Dublin, Limerick and Galway City. An ideal spot from which to plan your excursions: head west to Galway City (23km); or southwest via Kinvara (24km) to the Burren (43km); and then to the Cliffs of Moher (70km). Or, go east to Loughrea (19km) where there's safe summer lake swimming.

The Log Cabin

The Log Cabin is situated 3km from the village of Ballyvaughan. It is nestled under Cappawalla Mountain on a quiet, peaceful road with fabulous views of Ailwee Mountain. It is a one-bedroom cabin, with a sofa bed in the sitting room that can sleep up to 4 guests. The Log Cabin is an ideal base for exploring the Burren, Ailwee Caves and the Cliffs of Moher as well as many other tourist attractions in the area. The Log Cabin is close to the Ballyvaughan Wood Loop walk for those who enjoy walking.

A well-organized kitchen shelf displays an assortment of decorative and functional items. Wooden bowls, ceramic mugs, and colorful dishes are neatly arranged alongside a small toaster and utensils. A vintage-style oil can adds character to the space, complementing the wooden countertop.

Cosy cabin 10 min drive from Cliffs of Moher.

Perfect for visiting The Cliffs of Moher, this one bedroom apartment with patio area, offers a fully equipped kitchen, free wifi, cotton bedlinen, towels, toiletries and cooking basics. Set at the back of my old cottage, offering plenty of privacy, overlooking the vegetable garden and apple trees. Ideal for coastal walk to The Cliffs, ferry to Aran Islands, Doolin with it's mix of traditional music pubs & fine dining like Homestead Cottage ⭐️ Michelin. The Burren National Park is 30 min away.

It is located a stones throw from the lovely old fishing village of ballyvaughan, that was once the heart of Clare and is now part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Perfect for holidays at anytime of the year,it's a heaven for fishermen and nature lovers. Excellent for water sports, local forest walks, pony trekking, and relaxation. Makes great holiday base for families, or those who want to get away from it all.
