Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience both moose, deer, hare, otter, eagle and grouse. In summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the Northern Lights. There are great hiking trails and the possibility for mountain hikes.

In winter, there are great conditions for watching Northern Lights. In rough weather you get very close to the sea and wind from the "good chair" in the extension, or you go for a fresh walk along the sea. The property is with direct proximity to fishing spots and many hiking options.

The area is great for visiting Svartisen, the island kingdom or the many nearby majestic mountains.

We welcome outdoor enthusiasts to our beautiful cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down to the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14-foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great, private sauna barrel right by the water, and an outdoor jacuzzi (this is new as of July 2025). Neverdal is located in Meløy, between Bodø and Mo i Rana. Here you can experience the Svartisen glacier, two national parks, mountains for both winter and summer use and a fantastic archipelago with several inhabited islands. The apartment is located 9 km from the municipal center Ørnes, and it is 11 km to the industrial site Glomfjord. We offer a patio with a fire pit and a large garden to frolic in.
