We offer self-contained accommodation in the shadow of the mystical Glasshouse Mountains. Marvel at the myriad wildlife sounds at night, count the millions of stars, relax on the large deck, take an indulgent spa, listen to the birdlife in the trees and become closer to nature in your own private, luxurious and romantic cottage.
“Highly recommend a stay at Glass on Glasshouse for a quiet/romantic weekend away. Although we didn’t meet Grant and Darrell in person (COVID-19 social distancing) they provided all necessary information via message, and were very easy to get in contact with. The accommodation itself is breathtaking- they have really designed it for the area and view. Nice and clean, thoughtful touches (mosquito spray provided, candles provided etc) and the breakfast provided is generous and delicious! Comfy bed, and lots to do around or little to do if you want to hang around (we quite enjoyed being in the cottage in the afternoon to watch sunset). Would stay again and recommend to others!”
The newly built 2 bedroom house is alongside our family home but fully self contained and private in a quiet, rural area. Our home is situated on one acre in a cul-de -sac with many native birds as company. The surrounding area is mainly farmland: strawberry, macadamia and pineapple farms. Australia zoo is only 11 minutes away; the nearest shopping centre, medical facilities, restaurants, etc, are approx. a 5 minute drive. Caloundra beaches are approx. a 35 minute drive.
“Paul & Cheryl's place was clean, tidy and comfortable; and it was a great place to stay with our 10 month old. We found the place to be safe (with supervision of course) and the thoughtful touches were appreciated. These included the port-a-cot, highchair, toys and safety plugs in the infant accessible powerpoints. Nice breakfast provisions were also included. Due to the location the mobile internet reception is very poor, however wifi internet is provided by the host.”
Nestled underneath one of the famous Glass House Mountains. This 50 acre farm boasts spectacular scenery and a quiet escape for those wishing to getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.
“Sandra’s house was a delightful place for our family of four adults and two children (grandparents, children and grandchildren) to stay while we explored the Glass House Mountains and surrounding Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The lovely stylish home is outfitted with many creature comforts and amenities, and is large enough to have comfortably accommodated our group. The setup was ideal with two lounging rooms, 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, and more than sufficient room to find personal space. Bedding and linens were first rate and the well-equipped kitchen provided more than enough crockery to prepare a feast. The lovely home sits on multi-acre gorgeous grounds, the site of a working passion fruit farm, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Would you believe the iconic Mt Coonowrin (Crookneck) is in your backyard? The home is located within a few minutes’ drive of Mt Ngungun and Mt Tibrogargan walking trails. These trails offer exhilarating hikes and spectacular vistas. Sandra’s home also served as an excellent base of operation for touring the surrounding towns of Maleny and Montville, and visiting interesting sites like the Mary Cairncross scenic reserve, the Maleny botanic garden and bird aviary, Gardners Falls, and North Stradbroke island. Last but not least, we can’t say enough about the “innkeepers”, Sandra and Simeone. They are warm, welcoming and delightful hosts. They made us feel like old friends in town for a visit, and even gifted us a huge pail of delicious home-grown passion fruits. We would gladly stay here again should our travels bring us this way.”
