Jorge's place has character. The deck and the backyard were both nice although we didn't really use them. It's a nice space with room to relax. Our favorite meal on our 3 week trip was their recommendation of Casa Viuva Wine Bar so their advice when given, it is spot on. Only complaint I would have is the hot water runs out fairly quickly in the shower, but it's an older house and I love long showers. You will get about 5 minutes. Other than that it's a wonderful town and good central location if you have a car for Porto or the Douro Valley

We were hosted very well and had a great time. The house is cozy, cute and comfortable, the decoration is neat. On the outside, the garden and pool are very pleasant both during the day and in the evening. The location is ideal for enjoying the area and port. Thank you so much for all the thoughtful touches that contributed to this lovely moment.

Beautiful oasis near Porto! Garden has been designed and maintained with great love. Beds were good, everything was new and fresh. The dogs are sweet. We only saw them a few times, they were mostly in the house. Christophe helped us well find a garage for our car. Floriane is very helpful and a hard worker. We liked that we could have breakfast, BBQ and dinner at the pool at the table. Cozy under the trees by candlelight.

Emília was extremely friendly and responsive. We were three couples who went to a wedding nearby and Emilia was flexible with the check in and check out - we could arrive 1 hour earlier even though we were late at the end and ended up checking in just 15min before the standard hour. Also for the check out, knowing we would probably be tired after the party, she let us check out later because she didn’t have any bookings after ours - we didn’t do it but having the option shows the great host Emilia is. She was there for the check in and check out in a blink of an eye-one message away to be precise. There’s a private parking where three cars easily fit. The rooms are big, the living room and outdoor space are incredible to relax and get together, the kitchen is extremely well prepared to receive guests. The house is well decorated and bring a sense of peace . Unfortunately we didn’t have the time to enjoy the place to the fullest but I wholeheartedly recommend Emilia’s place.

We didn’t want to leave! The house, gardens and pool were exactly what we were looking for to relax. We spent so much time wandering through the gardens and watching cruise ships pass by on the river. Rui was very attentive and made us feel at home. We want to visit again!!

Great place to stay was clean and relaxing and the pool was great for the family. The host was very helpful and friendly, informed us of local restaurants and events in the area including a medieval festival that was taking place whilst we were there. Communication was easy, was more than happy to help. Thank you again!

We had a very pleasant stay at this airbnb! The host was very lovely, kind, and always messaged me back quickly when we needed something! It was a beautiful house with a great pool and garden. I would definitely recommend this place for people who want to relax but also want to be able to go to the city to explore!

Thank you so much for this stay at yours! It was amazing, we had a great time. The teenagers have plenty of memorable memories. Everything is beautiful, with small relaxation areas everywhere. The accommodation is really wonderful, and there are small touches everywhere (blanket, port, firewood etc.). Communication with Sofia was perfect (even though we didn't get a chance to see each other). Sofia was able to find us and book a restaurant for 12, close to the accommodation. Lots of little tips. In short, you'll understand, you can book this home without so much as a second thought!! We'll definitely be back, that's for sure! Have a lovely day We’ll see you there! Beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped chalet in stunning location. And it’s got air-con! Fantastic launching pad to explore Porto and the Douro but you might not want to leave the pool.

My stay at this beautiful house was absolutely unforgettable, with stunning river views that took my breath away! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the peaceful surroundings and the warm, welcoming ambiance of the house. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxation—whether lounging by the pool or enjoying a drink as I watched the most beautiful sunset. The host was incredibly accommodating, providing everything needed for a comfortable and seamless experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house was very comfortable and we absolutely loved the grounds and outdoor areas. There was a lot of privacy and we enjoyed our quiet retreat. Carina the house manager went above and beyond, she brought us fresh bread and treats each morning and brought over dinner one night that my family absolutely loved. We enjoyed the location - drivable to Porto and the Douro valley.
