In the quiet and idyllic Södra Bruket is Villa Sälvik, a wooden villa from 1806, one of five workers' houses at Södra Bruket's alum factory. Villa Sälvik is located right by the sea, nature reserve, golf course and Alvaret and is the perfect base for bird watching. This village is located along the eastern road but still secluded thanks to the garden. Proximity to the sea, Strandtorp or Bjärby-badet not more than a few kilometers away and only 15 km to the bridge and barely 30 km to Kalmar makes it suitable for many different day trips.
