Villa holiday rentals in Guarda District

The only aspect that you can limit for longer stays and needs more luggage: there is no private parking and the street of the house is in a “historic” area, difficult to circulate cars. But the area is very beautiful, picturesque, and all the other great features of the house and hostess far outweigh this fact.

My family and I (wife and two kids (13 and 16) spent three days over Chistmas at the house. it was the absolute perfect place to spend the holidays. The house is very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and was perfect for us to prepare the full Véspera and Christmas Day meals. There is even a local bread delivery service and the legendary Sera da.estrela mountain cheese made from local sheep available close by. Loriga is a beautiful mountain town and should not to be missed. From the beginning Senhor Tiago was extremely helpful and friendly. We are so grateful to have been able to spend our Christmas in such a fantastic location. We can't recommend this house more highly!!!!

The Green House was one of our best Airbnb experiences! Amadeu is a kind and considerate host who really understands how to make guests comfortable. He checked in during our stay to assure our satisfaction, answered all questions quickly, and was flexible in meeting us at the unit due to our late train. Further, he left enough food for us to enjoy for breakfast for our entire stay (yogurt, bread, fruit, juice, milk, pastries, etc.). Beyond the view, which is as spectacular as advertised, there are many other aspects of the unit that impress. The large unit was impeccably clean and linens were comfortable. There were even bathrobes and slippers as you find in higher end hotels. We highly recommend the Green House!

Daniela and her parents were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed staying at her place. Every amenity you can think of was provided. The views were unbeatable. A great place to make your Douro Valley base. We were so sad to leave and will be back soon. The house is super modern, very spacious, lots of light, big windows and doors, wrap around porch, lots of outdoor spaces, private garage and gated entry.

In the heart of the Sierra de la Estrella. This house is very large and with all the amenities you could ask for. Good communication with Margarida. To be repeated, without a doubt!

We had a great time in this beautiful and cozily furnished house and felt super comfortable. The location of the house in the middle of vineyards and olive groves is truly unique. From the terrace you have a great view of the surrounding area and the sunset. Helena is a great hostess. Communication went smoothly and check-in and check-out were very straightforward.

Casa dos Poetas is an amazing experience, in the middle of the village, the cozy house, indicating and would undoubtedly return.

This place is amazing! The property feels extremely private. There were 4 of us and we felt the house could easily have slept another 4. Everything was spotless. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend going to their restaurant in town, everything was cooked perfectly. The pool was great and we loved using the barbecue. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

This was a stunning AirBNB. Our family could not have chosen a better place to stay. The views were truly incredible from the expansive windows everywhere in the house. From sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view, to relaxing by the pool, to going out and about visiting the quintas in Douro, we truly enjoyed our stay. Rui was a wonderful host, very responsive and great recommendations for restaurants in the guide. Regional Fonte Nova in Armamar is a must go! Overall 10/10.

Our stay was fantastic! The house is extremely comfortable and perfect for a group of friends. We took full advantage of the pool, barbecue and dining room. It is a house with beautiful and peaceful decor, ideal for relaxing and enjoying good times together. It allowed us to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have a good rest. We highly recommend it and will certainly come back!

Really excellent and large house that has been tastefully updated and renovated to modern standards. Great for our multi-family vacation to the Douro Valley. The kitchen was large with excellent modern appliances, and the entertainment room and grounds were ideal for our children. This is an excellent place to rent in the Douro Valley.

Carla's place is perfect for a getaway both as a couple and as a family as it was our case. The apartments are very well equipped and the spaces are spacious. The common areas are great for big meals and parties. The pool area, with music is fantastic if you go in the summer season. The kids had a great time with the horses too. And being able to book a few massages in the space, it was quite a bit.

House with history, beautifully decorated with contemporary design combined with vintage style. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and all with well-equipped private bathrooms. Well air-conditioned building. The house is well equipped to house large groups. I recommend it.

As a group, accustomed to making reservations through airbnb, we decided to book Mr. Rui's. It was definitely an excellent decision! The accommodation is very spacious, with very good taste, with all the necessary utensils, very clean and well-kept! A very well prepared and comfortable outdoor space, from the pool, to the barbecue, to the vegetables! Mr. Rui was tireless from our first interest, always available and concerned. Upon our arrival, we had some very tasty treats. Without a doubt, it positively makes a difference, which "forces" us to come back (and we will gladly). Thank you for everything, Mr. Rui.

we had a very pleasant week in this quiet house with very beautiful landscapes. the pool nearby refreshed us well and made the children happy. the house is typical and nice the outdoor shower is very nice in summer. Teresa is a very nice person and very available.

We booked for 8 people and had the entire villa, but there were only 3 bedrooms in the main villa. An additional bedroom with its own kitchen was offered separately. The separate room was amazing, but it would’ve been better if this setup was mentioned in the listing. The property was very clean and exceeded expectations. Carlos, our host, was helpful and quickly resolved a short circuit and fire alarm issue, even providing extra wood for the fireplace to compensate. On checkout day, the water pipes froze, leaving us without water. Carlos responded quickly, but it delayed our plans as we checked out late. This was inconvenient, and I hope measures are taken to avoid this in winter. Despite these issues, the stay was great, and I would return. Clearer communication in the listing and winter-proofing would make this property perfect!

Casa da Celeste is a beautiful hideaway where you can relax and listen to the sounds of the birds chirping and feel the sun on your face. The house is lovely, but what stands out are the hosts, Aida and Rui. They both went above and beyond to make us feel at home and help us settle in. This home may be in the countryside, but it's located in a great spot to travel to Porto, Aviero. Guarda and Coimbra. You can visit many beautiful cities with an easy day trip. I highly recommend staying here!

Maria’s home is beautiful! Extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable. The pool area with shower & toilet nearby is well planned. We enjoyed cooking on the BBQ several evenings during our stay.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.
