Holiday rentals in Guatuso

This was our first trip to Costa Rica. We booked about a week at Brad's place. Even though we spent most days traveling to different locations, my most enjoyable time in CR has to be the day we took it easy. I dozed off for a little bit while relaxing on the hammock. The weather was perfect. The view from the porch was incredible. Really hard to beat! Waking up to the jungle breeze and bird sounds with trees in every direction was something else. Brad was great at walking us through his place when we checked in. His recommendations on local restaurants were spot on. Some of our best meals from the trip were only a few km from our stay. I had to work a little bit in the evenings, so having fast and reliable wifi was great. A/C units in every bedroom made for comfortable nights. Very happy with our stay.

This place is just perfect. When I read all the glowing reviews they sold me but I kept thinking it couldn’t be this nice. It’s better. Very clean, so welcoming and comfortable but in the midst of such a jungle paradise with birds, monkeys, and private access to Rio Celeste. Rick and Ashley were friendly and responsive without being intrusive. The little snacks and all the attention to small details just put it over the top. Pura Vida!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at The Blue House. The grounds are beautiful! We saw Toucans and hummingbirds from the patio. The sound of the river was very relaxing after a day of exploring the area. We would definitely recommend The Blue House while you’re visiting the Rio Celeste area.

Allan was a superb host. Very polite, highly responsive and the cabina was impeccable. This is a well earned five star review!

We had the most wonderful stay at Jim's property in the Lake Arenal region! The accommodation was beautiful and the property itself was truly special. We had a car, which made it easy to explore the area, and we loved coming back to the farm after a day of adventures. The peaceful setting, complete with farm animals, made it the perfect place to unwind. We anticipated the farm animals, so we came prepared with earplugs, knowing the roosters would start calling in the morning. One of our favourite parts of the trip was meeting Mika, the adorable farm kitty, who happily snuggled up with us on the couch in the evenings. Jim gave us the option of whether to let the cat in, but as animal lovers, we gladly welcomed the extra company! If you're looking for a relaxing spot to retreat to after exploring the area, I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful home with great views of the lake and Arenal Volcano. We saw a great variety of birds. The eternity pool was fabulous.

We had a wonderful stay at Johanna's place. She was a great host and made us feel right at home. She was very helpful and caring. We enjoyed her daily visits when she answered any questions we had and helped us identify birds we saw. The house and grounds were lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of nature.

Mateo and Joanita’s place was beautiful!! The view was breathtaking with the lake and mountains. It was a bit windy at all times but it felt nice in the Costa Rican heat! We had fun swimming. The hosts were responsive and helpful. All in all we felt peaceful and relaxed! Restaurant Equus had delicious food nearby-recommend!
