Burach Apartment 2 is a 2 bedroom apartment on the hill behind the centre of Fort William. The High St is an 8-10 min walk away and has all amenities. However there is a steep walk back up the hill that can involve steps.
Apt 2 has off road car parking for 1 vehicle, a drying room, sleeps 4 - with the living area downstairs, the upstairs bedrooms contains beds that can be made up into doubles or singles.

The space
There is a large open plan room downstairs for dining, relaxing and cooking. The two bedrooms are up stairs, as is the bathroom.
The parking is immediately outside the apartment, larger vehicles and vans may have to park on the street.
The apt. has a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer.
If you are visiting for all the outdoor activities on offer we have a drying line in our carport and a drying room in the apartment with racking and a dehumidifier.

Guest access
The aparment is self contained with no shared amenities.

Other things to note
Argyll Road is not a busy road but there is a bus route on the road.
We are behind Fort William High Street, only 10 minutes walk away and very close to the centre of the town. Great for access to amenities and place to eat, but as we are on a hill you climb steps up and down to get to and from town.

We welcome well behaved dogs, and can cater for infants and children.

The apartment overlooks our garden so you may here the sound of children playing.

We try our very best to look after this beautiful part of the world, but understand that recycling varies from area to area, and can be complicated. Here in Highland if the recycling isn't right the council won't empty the bin, so 'if in doubt leave it out'. You can always leave recycling for us to do.

We want everything to work so you have a pleasant stay but don't believe in throwing functional and safe items into landfill. If you find something broken please let us know and we will replace it.

Neighbourhood highlights

Argyll Road is close to the town centre, which has a small supermarket (larger supermarkets are just slightly further away). There is also a small Spa (convenience store) minutes away. There a pubs and places to eat, a small but interesting museum, several outdoor shops, and library. There is climbing wall on the street below us and a good leisure centre with pool, gym and exercise classes (run by Highlife Highland). Currently our favourite coffee shop is 'Delicraft' on the High Street (although the new Vegan Cafe - Wildcat is great and satisfied our 2 definitely carnivorous boys - they gave top marks to the homemade beans on toast and cake. Our favourite place to eat is Garrison West next to the museum in Cameron Square - although we are spoilt for choice.

Lives in Fort William, United Kingdom
I love the outdoors and moved to Fort William because of the spectacular scenery, and look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful part of Scotland. Prior to having a family I could be found mountain biking, mountaineering, climbing all over the UK and further afield. I travelled to far flung places - my favourites away from Fort William and Lochaber were 1) the South West of the US - especially the less travelled trails in the Grand Canyon and 2) Nepal and 3) the Isle of Skye. Now we have two boys we do more child friendly travels and days out. We love skiing, mountain biking and hiking/scrambling and, of course, beaches (which family doesn't). We are lucky to have so many great things locally and love Glenuig Beach and the short but fabulous walk to Steall Falls. I also enjoy history/local culture and wildlife - again this part of Scotland excels in these things too. I don't always have to do five star (although every now and again that's great) but I like things/places/accommodation that does what it says - whether that's a campsite/hostel or B & B.
