Recent guests loved the smooth start to this stay.
Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will.

If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

The space
There are tea and coffee making facilities in your room (and a fridge in the lobby). There are no cooking facilities. Breakfast is included, served in our kitchen or outside if you prefer.

The house is about 4 miles outside Nethy Bridge (where there is a hotel, super daytime cafe and butchers/deli, small general shop and 9 hole golf course). Boat of Garten 6 miles away has a shop, pub and restaurant and Grantown on Spey is 8 miles away with a wide range of restaurants and shops. We are out in the countryside so a great base for exploring the area, be that birdwatching in the garden, woods or on the hills, heading off with your sketchbook, swimming in the lochs or exploring the many walking or cycling tracks or Speyside whisky trails! There are big night skies and big open vistas with lots of quiet and time to relax. It’s beautiful in all seasons but please note we may get heavy snow in the winter.

You are welcome to bring your well behaved dog but be aware that there are other pets on site. Bicycle storage is also available.

We are in a rural area in the middle of a private estate with access to multiple footpaths through the woods and surrounding hills. Nethy Bridge is just 4 miles away and is known as the "forest village" as it is on the edge of the Abernethy Forest, the last remainder of the old caledonian pine woods and a haven for birds and wildlife.
