The space
Escape to the Norfolk countryside and stay in our beautifully converted barn, nestled within a 15-acre Grade II listed smallholding that has been part of the landscape for over 400 years. Surrounded by open fields, mature cottage gardens and peaceful farmland, it's the perfect place to unwind while remaining just a short stroll from one of Norfolk's most charming market towns.
The location is hard to beat. The magnificent Blickling Estate is quite literally on your doorstep, with National Trust walking and cycling trails leading directly from the property. Whether you're looking for a morning walk beneath ancient trees, a picnic by the lake or miles of scenic countryside to explore, you can leave the car behind and step straight into nature.
Within a leisurely 10-minute walk you'll find the historic market town of Aylsham, home to independent shops, welcoming cafés, award-winning restaurants, traditional pubs, bakeries and independent boutiques. It's the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, browse the local shops or spend an evening dining out before returning to the tranquillity of the barn.
The barn has been thoughtfully converted to combine rustic character with modern comfort. The spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is light, welcoming and ideal for relaxing after a day exploring Norfolk. You will have the Hay Barn exclusively during your stay. The entire ground floor is included in the sleeps 2 downstairs double bedroom listing. When you book the 3 bedroom option you will also have access to the 2 upstairs bedrooms with en-suites and the family bathroom
There are ample private parking spaces to the front of the barn and you also have private use of the walled white garden accessed directly from the bifold doors
Self check in and check out are available using the key safe by the barn entrance
Other things to note
Towels and bedding are provided for guests by the host in this property. A travel cot (please bring your own bedding)and highchair are available on request. Please let us know before your arrival if these are required

I'm Mike, and this is my wife Kate, enjoying one of the great beaches here in Norfolk. We have lived here for almost 14 years, restoring and renovating a rambling old Georgian farmhouse and outbuildings on the edge of the Market Town of Aylsham.
