The space
Designed by renowned architect Michael Lyell as his family home, Delta is an architectural gem that seeks to connect modern high tech luxury and creature comforts with nature, through the vast tripple glazed glass opening walls from the living and bedrooms, through the zen gardens, over the dunes and sea to the vast sky. The feeling of peace and comfort in the house is palpable and poweful.
Massive sliding glass doors erase the boundary between indoors and the natural world, flooding the vaulted cedar living spaces with natural light and the calming sound of the sea breathing through.
Wellness & Spa
Yoga Studio:
Delta's Sea-view studio, with sprung bamboo floors, underfloor heating and eco-friendly mats/props and folding wooden seats for 24, doubles as a cinema room with a projector and incredible 4 X B&W sound system built into the ceiling and home network. The studio has it's on private loo and staging area as well as a huge sliding glass door that opens one side of the studio open to the beach below it.
Barrel Sauna:
Traditional large 10-person Estonian wood sauna with a powerful 9KW Harvia heater near a well lit outdoor lounging area just by the beach.
Wood-Fired Hot Tub: Next to the Sauna is a Classic 8-person tub overlooking the sea (available for an additional £200 + VAT per stay; 72 hours notice required).
Professional Plant-Based Kitchen:
Designed by Princess Diana's old Chef, David Townsend, this professional-grade kitchen is built for entertaining at scale but in a homely way. Our roster of world class vegan Chefs have commented that it is one of the best laid out kitchens that they have ever used. It has everything needed but seems like a home kitchen. Ideal for retreat catering, cooking demos or just family use.
Equipped with Wolf ovens, skillet, char bioler, steamer, plate warmer, earns, blenders, mixers and machines of various kinds, Gordon Ramsay Hexclad cookware and much more. Includes specialty tools: plant-milk maker, ice cream maker, slow juicer, and dehydrators.
Multiple dining areas:
A 10-18 person main dining room (the extra large table is an optional extra), a 10-person kitchen breakfast space and a 20-person outdoor dining terrace with fire pits and various other tables and sun lounging areas in the garden if you want a quite space to yourself.
Living & Entertainment:
The main living room is a vast cedar clad vaulted living room, featuring panoramic ocean views, a stone fireplace, mini-grand piano and other restored furniture from 1930. The networked Atohm speakers in this room are the finest on the property and are specifically positioned for the room, ideal for music or when watching films or presentations on the large TV there. Behind the traditional beachstone fireplace wall is the family library, full of litterature working to comprehend and serve nature as is the family's primary work and interest.
The downstairs livingroom area provides another large sitting room with new and modern designer sofas and armchairs, built in surround sound system for the TV that is revealed behind a sliding artwork on the wall. The room opens via a huge sliding glass wall that opens completely onto a sun-trapped beach terrace and then the beach.
House-wide networked audio & entertainment system (all subscriptions) and Apple TVs.
Guest Access & Sleeping Arrangements
The main house sleeps up to 20 guests across 6 bedrooms. For larger groups (up to 24), an adjoining, self-contained Staff Cottage is available as an optional extra.
Main House Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 (Master): Super-king bed, private balcony & stair, panoramic sea views, and luxury en-suite with walk-in shower and tub.
Bedroom 2 (Family Suite): Super-king bed (can split to twins), ocean/garden views, large en-suite.
Bedroom 3 (Adjoining Family Suite Double): A Double bedroom with sea views within the family suite, sharing the Family Suite en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4 (Launch Suite): Super-king bed (can split to twins) plus two built-in cabin bunks, private terrace, en-suite.
Bedroom 5 (Coral Suite): Super-king bed (can split to twins), garden views, en-suite.
Bedroom 6 (Dorm): Three bunk beds (including one double-over-double), garden terrace access down to the sea, sea views, en-suite.
Optional Extra Staff Cottage:
The Staff Cottage has it's own full kitchen, bathroom and terrace area.
Bedroom 7 (Staff Cottage Suite 1): Super-king bed (can split to twins) with access to private terrace and garden.
Bedroom 8 (Staff Cottage Suite 2): Super-king bed (can split to twins).
Retreats & Optional Upgrades:
Delta is the perfect canvas for your retreat. We offer a roster of world-class vegan chefs, yoga teachers, and wellness practitioners available to book.
Commercial bookings: If you are running a paid/commercial retreat, please message us prior to booking to discuss our commercial agreement and insurance requirements.
Important House Rules:
To protect the integrity of our home and our local environment, we ask all guests to strictly observe the following:
1. Strictly Plant-Based: No animal products (meat, dairy, fish, eggs) may be brought, cooked, or consumed on the property. We provide top-tier plant-based appliances to support your culinary experience.
2. No Smoking: Strictly prohibited indoors.
3. Shoe-Free Zone: Please remove shoes before going into the house and keep shoes in the shoe racks provided.
4. Fires: Only permitted in the designated fireplace and stoves..
5. Respect the Space: No parties without prior agreement
6. Do not move the large furniture.
Guest access
Although the main private house has beds for 20 we accept Bookings of 14 or less who have private access to all areas of the property and the main house except for the staff cottage and garage that occupy the South Westerly corner of the demise. This is seperate from the main house with separate entrances and garden but can be booked as an optional extra however while we may rent out the staff cottage suite and kitchen to larger bookings, we keep the garage and backmost bedroom private at all times and reserve the right to access it.
Other things to note
House Rules (Please Read Carefully)
1. Plant Based Home: Refrian from use of animal food products (meat, dairy, fish, or eggs) on the property. We provide an array of plant-based alternatives in the pantry, including top-of-the-range plant milk makers, plant-based ice cream makers, and more. Please respect this requirement as a core principle of our home and retreat.
2. No Smoking Indoors: Smoking is prohibited inside the house. Outdoor ashtrays are provided.
3. Shoes Off Upstairs: Please remove shoes before going upstairs. Shoe racks and slippers are provided in the hall cupboards.
4. No moving furniture without prior agreement.
5. Outdoor Fires: Fires are only permitted in the wood-burning stove and the VBBQ provided. No other outdoor fires are allowed.
6. Do notuse the gardens or yoga studio for ball games. We have had broken windows and it damages and stains the paint on the walls. You can take the volleyball net to thebeach or by all means setupthebadminton set up in the garden.
7. Parties: No parties are permitted unless agreed upon in advance.

OBSERVANCES:
1. Our gardeners will be on the property between 08h00 and 10h00 on Thursday morning. This can be moved to 10h00 - 12h00 on the same day with prior arrangement if lawnmowers will cause issues.
