Welcome to The Brewhouse, a stunning, light, clean and freshly renovated 19th Century barn, once used as a brewhouse and now converted especially for luxury stays in the Somerset town of Frome.

The Brewhouse offers you the best of both worlds: a five minute stroll one way takes you to the buzzing heart of Frome with its independent shops, bars and restaurants. Or use a private gate to take you straight into the countryside for a walk by the river (watch out for the otters!)

The space
The Brewhouse is a historic Somerset stone barn (used as a brewery in the 19th Century) which has very recently been converted into comfortable self-contained guest accommodation.

There’s private off-street parking for one car available next to the barn (with a charging point for EV drivers - overnight charging is included) and a steel staircase leads to your own private entrance to the Brewhouse.

Downstairs, the Garden Room is a stylishly decorated living room with modern furniture including armchair and footstool, dining table, coffee table, occasional tables and sofa. There’s also a smart TV with access to On Demand services such as iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. (you will need to log in with your own account). The Garden Room has direct access to the courtyard – perfect for an al fresco coffee or evening drink.

There’s a fully tiled wet room with push-button shower, basin and toilet. Fluffy towels are provided, as is a range of natural bathroom products by Bramley: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and hand lotion.

The kitchenette includes a sink, mini fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, cafetiere and glasses, together with plenty of ground coffee and tea bags. Frome is packed with amazing places to eat and drink and we heartily recommend taking full advantage of them, whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Tell us what you like and we’ll let you know where you need to be!

Upstairs, the bedroom is a light, airy space with a vaulted ceiling and windows overlooking green fields and the River Frome. There’s a comfortable King Size bed, bedside tables, full length mirror, a dressing table and chair which doubles as a workspace, a hanging space for your clothes, and fluffy bathrobes.

There’s free superfast Wi-Fi available throughout, and USB sockets in living areas to charge phones etc.

Guest access
Guests enter the property up the external steel staircase and through a glazed private entrance to the Brewhouse. There’s off-street parking for one car next to the barn, complete with a 7Kw EV charging point.

There's plenty of on-street parking available nearby, and the centre is a short five minute stroll away.

Frome is well placed for public transport. There are many local bus services and the railway station is 20 minutes' walk. Longleat, Bath and Bristol are all an easy drive. Babington House is a short 15 minutes drive from here.

Other things to note
Frome Brewhouse is attached to Victoria and Matt’s house so you will see us, and we will be on hand for advice on local eating places and things to do, but we will of course do our best to respect your peace and privacy.
