Neighbourhood highlights

Lowfields is perfectly situated to explore the surrounding idyllic Cotswold landscape. It is a short drive from popular spots such as Daylesford Organic and Diddly Squat Farm Shop (both 10 mins away). It is a 15-minute drive to Chipping Norton or Stow-on-the-Wold and it's a lovely walk to Churchill via a bridle path and the road. Soho Farmhouse (members only) is just 11 miles away.

There are some wonderful local pubs to visit during your stay including The Chequers at Churchill (very good for children), The Wild Rabbit and The Kingham Plough (both in Kingham) as well as The Fox at Oddington and the Fox Inn, Broadwell. Bruern Farmshop and Café is a short drive away and is great for children, with pigs, chickens and a field to pick sunflowers in the summer months - we really love it there. For gin lovers, the Cotswold Gin Distillery is 20 minutes away but you don't have to do the tour you can just go for an amazing pizza or visit the Hook Norton Brewery also 20 minutes' drive.

For a day out, there is the Adam Henson Cotswold Farm Park and the Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens nearby. We also recommend the Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre too (again, great for children) and it is also very near the Big Feastival which takes place at Alex James' farm near Kingham, every August. World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace is a 20 minute drive with its beautiful grounds, palace tour, restaurants, two adventure playgrounds, maze and butterfly house (also see it's amazing calendar of events throughout the year).

If you want to go slightly further afield, Stratford-upon-Avon is 45 minutes away as well as Warwick Castle and of course you can be in the the amazing city of Oxford via train from Kingham station in less than half an hour.
