@HoneysuckleCottageWestLulworth is a beautiful thatched holiday cottage in a pretty English village in Dorset.

Situated in the world renowned Jurassic Coast village of West Lulworth, it is walking distance from Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door & ideally located by the South West Coastal Path.

This one-bed cottage is the perfect base for a romantic getaway in Dorset, lovingly restored over two years to the highest standard with luxury fixtures & fittings to create a comfortable home for your holiday

The space
Honeysuckle Cottage in West Lulworth is the perfect holiday home to base yourself whilst exploring the local beaches and countryside.

On entering the bright painted front door, you'll find an open plan living space; comfortable Joules sofa, farmhouse dining table and seating for four and a fully functioning kitchen complete with Smeg appliances - induction hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. There's also a Nespresso coffee machine and a microwave.

Traditional stone floors are underfloor heated, and there a realistic electric 'log fire'.

Upstairs, the master bedroom faces the street. You'll find a king sized bespoke upholstered French Bedroom Company bed, with Hypnos orthopaedic mattress, and matching bedroom chair. There is a wardrobe with hanging space and internal drawers (but please note, the second side is used by housekeeping so will be locked)

The bathroom consists of bespoke vanity unit and a large walk in shower with rainforest head, and WC. Theres electric underfloor heating and an electric mirror to help prevent steam. We provide The Scottish Fine Soaps Company toiletries (Hair and Body Wash, Conditioner, Hand Wash and Hand Lotion). The water is softened, but please note we only have an 80 litre hot water tank.

The hallway provides small utility area with Smeg washer/dryer, clothes airer, iron and short board.

Finally, the back snug, with views over Hambury Tout, known locally as the Witches Tit, provides another Joules sofa and realistic log burner, with smart TV. From here, you can also access the garden - but you'll need to mind your head on the thatch!

The large garden, which provides access to the costal footpath, has a beautiful raised patio area with views over Lulworth Village and its array of thatched cottages. We have a small patio table and two chairs, and it's the perfect spot to spend the evening with a glass of wine.

There is parking for 2-3 vehicles, and wifi throughout the cottage (however we are fairly remote in an old cottage so its not the best - although hopefully you’ll be out exploring so it wont be too much of an issue). Please be advised we have CCTV which overlooks the garden (but not inside the house)

Guest access
The cottage, gardens and parking are yours for the duration of your stay.

Honeysuckle Cottage is part of a terrace of 4 cottages with historic access rights. The neighbours may occasionally access the path for access to their own properties, or to access bins.

Check in time is from 4pm, checkout is at 11am

Other things to note
Honeysuckle Cottage is a 400 year old stone thatched cottage. Tall people may need to duck on entry, and mind heads on the stairs!

Despite frequent eviction, and frequent dusting, small bugs have lived in the cottage for centuries, therefore please be aware that you may see the odd cobweb or additional guest.

To get you started, we will leave a supply of Dorset Tea (black, green and herbal), Nespresso coffee pods, sugar and milk.

There will be a small supply of cleaning products to get you started; Smol disinfectant spray, washing up liquid, bin bags, cloths, toilet roll and kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and washing pods. There are The Scottish Fine Soap Company toiletries in the bathroom, with hand wash and lotion in the kitchen.

We have an 80 Litre hot water tank which is enough for two showers, but please be aware it won't last forever. Hand and bath towels are provided for each guest.

Please be aware that the staircase is open and it may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

Whilst the property has the benefit of parking for multiple vehicles in such a tourist location, it does have a non-permeant shingle drive with a very slight incline. If you do not feel comfortable parking on the driveway you may find free parking locally on Church street.

Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in place in the event that you need to cancel your stay at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances; we will endeavour to book any dates that you are unable to stay, but we are unable to deviate from our cancellation policy.
