Take it easy at this unique and tranquil Somerset getaway in the heart of the beautiful village of Batcombe. The Old Cider House offers a separate cottage in large garden with valley views. Walking distance to Three Horsehoes pub and short drive to Frome, Bruton and Bath-the perfect space to get away for a few days. Suitable for 2 adults in double bedroom and child on camped in additional room used for giving treatments. Massage & 1:1 yoga available if you want to have some r&r during your stay

The space
The Old Cider House is in the heart of Batcombe, less that 5 minutes from Margot Henderson’s pub The Three Horseshoes. There are great local restaurants and bars such as Westcombe dairy, and in Bruton, The Chapel, Briar, The Old Pharmacy, The Newt and Hauser and Wirth.

You have the use of the whole Old Cider House annex with a double bedroom and shower bathroom downstairs, and open plan kitchen and living room upstairs. There is a 2nd room down stairs where I offer massage during the week, which is also suitable for a child on the camp bed (or baby in your travel cot). Please bring your own bedding for this. Upstairs theres lots of space, along with sofa, wicker chairs and a coffee table to relax. Additional outside table and seating outside on the garden terrace with valley views. There is v good WIFI but no TV so bring a screen if you want to curl up with a movie. We live in the Weavers house next door but you’ll have peace and privacy, though we’re around to ask for advice if needed. Do message if you would like to book a warm oil massage or yoga session during your stay with host Joanna Webber, who has 20 years experience as a yoga teacher and Ayurvedic practitioner. She also hosts foraging workshops if you'd like to lean more about foraging and wildcrafting.

Guest access
You can access the Cider House on the back drive and park your car, then walk down the path to the annexe. You have use of the whole property from Friday to Monday, with shared use of a large garden.

Other things to note
Please note this is not suitable for dogs as we have two dogs, cat, Indian runner ducks, guinea pigs and chickens. The birds may come and say hello. Please let me know if you are not OK with dogs.
