Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A lovely stone cottage, next the cricket ground in the idyllic rural estate village of Rock, with panoramic views to the coast, between Alnwick and Bamburgh.

We have a log burner, ultra-fast WiFi, private parking, and a lockable shed, as well as a large outdoor dining table with seating for eight with views over the surrounding countryside.

We are dog friendly, have an enclosed back garden and a dog friendly café within walking distance.

All fees are included in our price, no hidden extras.

The space
We have just started on AirB&B, but have a 17 100% 5-star reviews from our previous bookings!

The cottage has bed linen, towels included. It also has ultra-fast WiFi so all our guests can stay connected. Hive central heating ensures a warm welcome and hot water for your arrival.

Outside, there is private parking in front of the cottage for two cars, and a lockable shed for bike storage. French doors lead off the living room into the garden, where we have a large outdoor dining table with seating for eight that enjoys views over the surrounding countryside to the sea.

The kitchen and dining area provide a great social space to gather. The high-spec kitchen has quartz worktops and is fully equipped with all modern appliances; there is a utility room with a washer/dryer and a separate ground floor toilet.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, two with double beds, the master with a 43" Smart TV, the third room is perfect for the children with bunk beds. All have wardrobe storage. There is a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

For guests with little ones, we also provide a travel cot, highchair and stair-gate, as well as a secure fireguard so you can still enjoy a real fire.

Neighbourhood highlights

The beautiful village of Rock is a protected conservation area, set in open countryside, with stone built houses, a large mill pond and has a well-marked walking trail past the ancient church and 12th century Rock Hall.

With the golden beaches of Newton-by-the-Sea and Embleton less than 5 miles away, there are some fabulous coastal walks to enjoy. Try the popular route past Dunstanburgh Castle and back and enjoy lunch overlooking the sea in the quaint fishing village of Craster, world famous for its smoked kippers and salmon.

Inland, the Northumberland National Park is a stunning area of natural beauty, a paradise for cyclists, bird watchers and anglers. Golfers too are spoilt for choice, being within easy reach of many first class coastal courses.

The market town of Alnwick, 5 miles away, is famous for its castle, featured in Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey, and the splendid gardens with the famous treehouse restaurant is well worth a visit.

To the north lies the harbour town of Seahouses, where you will find an interesting collection of pubs, restaurants, cafés and great little shops. A traditional working harbour where you can watch the fisherman bringing in the daily catch, take boat trips to the beautiful Farne Islands, and a lovely sandy beach.

You will be spoilt for choice of things to do, one of the many reasons why guests return time and again to this very special part of Northumberland. Beach 4 miles.
