Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Out in the countryside, this is the horsebox we once used for shows around the country. Now a unique rural stay, it has an off-grid hot tub, fenced dog-safe garden and woodland access near the Tarka Trail. Clean, warm and comfortable, but intentionally rustic rather than a modern lodge: expect natural timber, the character of a hard-working lorry, countryside sounds and smells, and occasional visits from local wildlife. Sleeps 4 comfortably, or 6 if adventurous.

The space
The horsebox sits in a private field overlooking the Torridge estuary, just off the A388 and close to the Tarka Trail, with all-weather access along a tree-lined lane. You will not need wellies to reach it, although they are useful for exploring the woods and footpaths in wet weather.

It is a cosy, self-contained, off-grid hideaway with its own cooking facilities, proper shower and toilet, plus an off-grid hot tub.

With private fenced gardens, you and your children or pets can feel secure in the open countryside, while watching the sheep and friendly goats nearby.

This is a genuine converted horsebox rather than a modern lodge, so expect natural timber, the character of a hard-working lorry, countryside sounds and smells, and occasional visits from local wildlife.

Guest access
You will have the horsebox with Hot Tub and the surrounding fenced off garden all to yourselves, the surrounding fields and woodlands are just a step away.

Other things to note
Set in the open countryside next to the Torridge estuary, the horsebox is less than 100 yards from the Tarka Trail with stunning views and walks throughout the area.

Landcross is 2 minutes drive from the port town of Bideford, but it is much nicer to walk (30 minutes) or cycle (10 minutes) along the Tarka Trail, taking in the views and surroundings along the river.
