This Art-Filled Contemporary flat spread over 2 floors located in a traditional Grade II listed Georgian building at the centre of Bath's trendy Artisan Quarter. Few minutes to cafes and restaurants and within 5 to 10 mins walk to culture gemstones like The Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge.
The 2 beds 1.5 baths generous apartment of 90 sqm has just been through a careful renovation and offers a calming and comfortable space for guests.
The space
For the interior concept, we draw inspirations from the building itself and the surrounding neighbourhood. Situated above a vintage clothes shop and neighbour to several small art galleries, we imagined this would be the home of a well-travelled Curator. A person that loves vintage furnishing as well as modern pieces.
We commissioned bespoke art pieces that would complement the interiors of the apartment, aiming to achieve an authentic aesthetics that is cosy and personal, more “home” than “hotel”.
LIVING SPACE
The living space is decorated with artworks, vintage sculpture, a designer mirror above the beautiful fireplace and feature light. The large dining table has seating for six, a mixture of modern and antique chairs, perfect for dinner together and a great space to catch up any work if needed.
KITCHEN
The contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar is the perfect space for a morning cup of coffee, with a lovely view over the green fields at the back. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cooker, grill, microwave and induction hob, as well as some essentials to welcome you including tea and coffee.
BEDROOMS
Master bedroom has a queen-size (1.5cm wide) bed with award-winning Emma mattress. The whole room including the ceiling is painted a soft neutral colour compliments the collection of vintage furnishing. Above the fireplace is a bespoke art commission just for this room. Bedside reading lamps are great for turning into bed early to catch up on some leisure reading before bedtime, and the view over the historic church opposite is a special sight.
The smaller bedroom has a more contemporary Scandi fell with soft grey shades, the 2 single beds can be easily pushed together to make a large king-size bed (1.8cm wide when together).
LANDING
A beautiful bespoke dried floral installation sits above an antique desk. The floral installation is a special piece by local floral studio Lunaria Somerset.
BATHROOMS
The downstairs bathroom features a large walk-in shower, toilet and basin. There is also a second toilet & sink upstairs.
Guest access
The guests will have access to the whole apartment, with its own private entrance. PLEASE NOTE: entrance access is via the back garden, through a shared path (with 2 other neighbours). The apartment does **not** come with any outside space.
Co-owner Shi lives 30mins away, on hand in case of any issues during guest stays.
Other things to note
- the apartment is located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the building, so there is a flight of stairs up to the front door (about 1.5 flight of stairs).
- internally the apartment is split over 2 floors with only 1 stair guard (for the stairs leading to the roof which is fire escape route only), so it MAY NOT BE suitable for toddlers, more suited for kids older than 4 years old.
- due to the central location of the apartment, the master bedroom and living room are facing a relatively busy road, you will hear slight traffic noise but we do have secondary glazing in place and it should not disturb you from sleeping. The smaller bedroom is facing a green valley and very quiet.
