Other things to note
The Lodge is situated on the very edge of Worthing, in a residential area very close to the stunning South Downs National Park (15 minute walk) with close access to lovely walks and the South Downs Way. The Lodge is semi-detached to our main property but you have your own front entrance and outdoor seating area with two comfortable outdoor chairs (with removable cushions), a stone topped outdoor dining table, plus a very large cantilever parasol (April - Sep).
There is a local Coffee Shop/Micro Pub that is just a 10 minute walk away, which offers a variety of wonderful artisan food trucks most evenings of the week.
GUESTS WITH MOBILTY ISSUES OR WHEELCHAIR USERS... please read the information at the bottom of this message before you book. Thank you.
We are just over 3 miles (or 15 mins drive) from the beach/seafront with a pier, a large choice of eateries, Cafes and Restaurants.
We have fast access to Brighton, the historical town of Arundel, the city of Chichester and beyond. If you want to stay in, The Lodge is a home from home, cosy and comfortable with almost every modern convenience such as cable and streaming TV, relaxing, reclining sofas, very fast broadband a fully equipped kitchen and a very comfortable king sized bed plus a powerful shower.
Please check out our FIVE STAR reviews! We look forward to welcoming you soon.
*A car is highly recommended (own or hired) - this is due to a very infrequent bus service in our local area. The nearest train station is about 30 minutes walk away (Durrington-on-Sea). We have secure bike storage but we do not own or hire out bikes to guests.
Please also note that we do not accept babies or children of any age (0 to 21 years), not even in travel cots. The Lodge is for TWO adults ONLY. No pets (Dogs) are permitted unless they are Guide or Assistance dogs. These are conditions of our planning consent from our local authority to avoid neighbourhood disturbance.
GUESTS WITH MOBILTY ISSUES OR WHEELCHAIR USERS:
Although our property is wheelchair accessible to every room, with wide doors and hard floors, the shower room is NOT a wet room. The shower unit is NOT wheelchair accessible and has a sliding door with a 43cm opening. You need to be able to self-transfer from your wheelchair to the freestanding shower seat inside the shower cubicle.
There is not enough space for any hoists or specialist lifting equipment. We can ONLY accept standard sized wheelchairs (not oversized/wide) and only small electric chairs capable of manoeuvring in small areas. The Lodge cannot accept electric scooters inside the property.
If in doubt about any of the information above, please message me before your make a booking to discuss your specific requirements. Thank you. Paul.
