Escape to The Pax, our private sanctuary set on 11 acres of peaceful Somerset countryside in Othery. We are nestled along the ancient St. Michael's Ley Line with amazing views across the Somerset Levels.
Whether you're planning a romantic escape, quality time as a couple, or a peaceful getaway with the family, The Pax is your base to recharge, reconnect, and explore.
The space
The space sits secluded within the grounds of our family home - filled with light and surrounded by nature. It offers a unique, peaceful energy.
The property boasts ample natural light throughout its spacious open-plan living area, with kitchen, induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.
The bathroom features a rainforest shower and an inbuilt sauna.
Outside, the hot tub offers the perfect spot to unwind while soaking in stunning views of the surrounding fields and scenery. You may be lucky enough to spot deer grazing on the green, our resident barn owl gliding through the twilight, or hares darting across the driveway. The area is also home to birds of prey, providing a fantastic opportunity to watch them soar overhead.
The upstairs bedroom has two King size beds accommodating a maximum of four guests. The space is ideal for a family of up to four. We are happy to provide a travel cot for young guests, just make sure you let us know beforehand.
The Pax is the perfect retreat for couples and families seeking to reconnect with nature, as well as creatives looking for inspiration, rest, and space to unwind. We live on the land ourselves and are offering a warm and personal hosting experience.
The space belongs to our home and is not suitable for parties, gatherings, excessive drinking, or smoking. So we ask for no loud music or noise after dark.
Please note, there is no TV (at the moment).
For hot days, we have an air con unit downstairs, please note, it is not a whole house system.
Glastonbury is only a 20 minutes drive away, and our place is an ideal location to visit National Parks, Beaches, Moors, all within 1 hour drive away.
The hot tub is solar-powered and operational between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

The guest house is exclusively yours during your stay, together with private use of the outdoor hot tub, patio, garden and garden furniture.
