Trereife is a charming, coastal cottage offering superb views of Mount's Bay and St. Michael's Mount. The cottage offers a home away from home experience in which to relax and from which to enjoy the exceptional Cornish beaches, hospitality and superb coastal walks.
The space
Located in the vibrant town of Marazion, with a south facing outlook, Trereife has stunning views over St Michael's Mount and Mounts Bay from all the windows at the front of the property.
Trereife is a cosy cottage with a high spec finish. It offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a wood burner, parking for 1 car and gas central heating.
The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and features a range cooker.
The open plan sitting room/dining room is a comfortable, welcoming space with a wood burner for cosy nights, 43" smart TV and a bluetooth speaker.
The three bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor.
The two king size rooms at the front have wonderful sea views. The third has bunk beds perfect for kids or adults, big or small!
A travel cot can fit into one of the front bedrooms - see additional photos - please advise if this is required on booking.
Bedroom 1 has an ensuite, whilst beds 2 and 3 share the family bathroom.
There is an external laundry/shower room on the ground floor and steps up to a courtyard garden.
The garden has a table and chairs as well as a parasol and is a sun trap in good weather and is surrounded by a glass balustrade. It is fully enclosed with a full height gate.
There is a shed at the back of the garage which contains the BBQ (and utensils) and 2 sun beds (same code as key safe).
We provide a travel cot, high chair and stair gate for children (please note, due to the walls at the bottom of the stairs, the stair gate can only be sited at the top of the stairs). Please advise us if you need any of these items when booking.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but we ask that they are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture please.
The house has parking for one car in the garage at the rear of the property. Additional parking is available in the town car park by the beach. See Guest Access section for more details.
There is a public EV charging point in the school car park, which is just opposite Trereife’s garage. The two chargers are available from 5pm to 7am Mondays to Fridays and all day on weekends and during school holidays.
Guest access
The key box is located at the front of the property, where you are able to pull up to unload.
Parking for one car is available in the garage at rear of the property on School Lane.
The garage fits a BMW X3 sized vehicle (or smaller). The entrance to the garage is tight so we do recommend folding in mirrors and that passengers get out before driving into the garage, once inside, the driver has adequate space to get out.
Garage dimensions are as follows:
- Entry width of the door is 2m 11cm.
- Internal length is 5m 75 cm.
Access to the house from the garage is via a path and steps down from the garden; access would be difficult for those with restricted mobility.
Roof boxes - please note, depending on the height of your vehicle, the garage may not be suitable for a roof box as the door height is 2m 11cm. If you have a roof box, please check the height carefully before trying to enter the garage! Please do not drive in with a roof box that will not fit as as this will damage both your roof box and the garage door.
Should additional parking be required, there may be on street parking nearby but we cannot guarantee this. There is however a public, payable, car park down by the beach.
Other things to note
The house caters for 6 guests. 4 adults and 2 children is most comfortable. Whilst 6 does not include an infant, we do have a travel cot which can fit into one of the front bedrooms. Should you need this please inform us and please bring your own cot bedding as this is not provided.
Whilst a stair gate is provided this can only be fitted at the top of the stairs.
Parties, filming and events are not permitted with prior arrangement. No stag or Hen do's please.
We politely request that guests do not disturb the neighbours and that loud music is not played.
Check in is from 16:00 and check out is by 10:00.
The property is on two floors and is accessed by two steps at the front and a set of steep steps at the rear (from which you access the garden and garage), which would pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies.
Guests should note that there are stairs to get up to, and down from, the garage/garden.
The property's garden is enclosed, however young children should be supervised outside at all times.
The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk.
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.
The Smart TV has Amazon Prime and Netflix (guests to use their own login details for these apps and please remember to log out on departure).
The garage is suitable for a car such as a BMW X3 or smaller. It is not suitable for larger vehicles or for roof boxes. See Guest Access section for more details.
