Rustic accommodation with a wood-fired sauna

Tihilä's Hilja was born from a desire to slow down. We left the hustle and bustle behind and started building a life on the old family farm, where silence is part of the experience. Here, birds sing nearby, moose walk along the edge of the field in the evenings, and the starry sky is visible without the city lights. When we realised how much peace and closeness to nature can give a person, we wanted to open this place up to others as well. We hope you leave here feeling a little more rested than when you arrived.

Cozy sauna cottage in a beautiful rural landscape. Quiet private space, fireplace, toilet, shower and wood-heated sauna (underfloor heating in the premises). A large terrace and barbecue are available. You can rent a hot tub or a smoke sauna in the yard separately. Extra beds can be booked as shared accommodation in the main building. Extra mattresses are also available for children. Space to move and play in the yard. In the common areas, there is the possibility of using the kitchen and washing machine.

The nearest neighbour is about 600 m away. The cottage has solar electricity for charging phones, a gas fridge, and water from its own well (water not tested), either by electric pump or by carrying it. The cottage has basic cooking utensils. Pets are welcome. Bed linen and towels are included in the rental price of the cottage.

Forest ranger's cabin

Spend the night in an atmospheric cottage! In the same place, in the 19th century, there was a forest ranger's cabin. The current cottage, built in the 1950s, and its surroundings will tell you about the past. The cottage has electricity, an air heat pump and a water point in the sink. The room has two bunk beds, 4 blankets, 8 pillows and sheets. Important things to note: outdoor toilet and yard sauna (1992) with hot water boiler and shower. There is a new lean-to and a campfire area in the yard.
