Self-contained accommodation overlooking the river Waveney with full kitchen, dining and lounge area (including reclining sofa, smart TV and wifi), upstairs is a double bedroom with en-suite. The stairs are very steep (see photo). Allocated parking. Bistro table and chairs outside your door, plus a bench right by the water. Spend a little time savouring the delights of Suffolk in this little gem of a cottage so close to the beaches of Walberswick and Southwold. Come back to the wood burner in the autumn and winter and a lovely meal cooked for you at the Queens Head just 10 minutes walk away. Our Cottage is pet friendly for one dog, please add this when you make your booking. We're back after a 12-month break to host a perfect dog friendly, secluded, rural hideaway with private parking and separate entrance, positioned next to the historic WW2 Metfield Airfields, in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The accommodation has a double bed, wood burner, seating area, dining table and 2 chairs, kitchen and bathroom. The 4 acre grounds are secure so dogs can roam free. Please note the property is a separate building, adjacent to the main house.

Lavender Cottage, off the beaten track in Suffolk

This country cottage dates to 1880. It is on the outskirts of Wenhaston, 5 miles from the coast. It is a real escape to the country, overlooking Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve. With cows grazing and birds singing it seems idyllic. Lavender cottage sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms, a king size master, double bedroom and single bedroom. The modern kitchen/diner with new appliances has dining for 6, while the cosy living room has a log burner. Accessed down a bridle path.

Peaceful, country setting in Suffolk, near coast

Located just outside Wenhaston on a quiet country lane, the Cottage is tucked away off-road. It’s secluded and tranquil with aspects towards the trees of the garden and the neighbouring paddocks. The bird feeder by the patio attracts garden birds plus occasional visitors which may include woodpeckers, pheasants, hawks, warblers and rabbits. Nightingales and owls can sometimes be heard. Although peaceful, we’re within easy reach of the coast.
