Far from any roads, the dominant sounds are the many birds who make their homes in the surrounding trees. This is a thoughtfully furnished home with an open layout, on a coffee farm, just bring your food and clothes for which ever adventure you intend; leave the accommodations and ambiance to us.

Charming Rainforest Cottage

Surrounded by orchids and other tropical flowers, the cottage is located on two lovely landscaped acres - 30 minutes from Hilo or Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The property is solar powered, an off-grid sustainable system with 4G phone service and fiber optic wifi. The last two miles are on unpaved gravel road in variable condition depending upon how much rain we've had lately. Four wheel drive isn't necessary but an SUV or similar vehicle with higher clearance is recommended.

A hammock is suspended on a covered lanai, offering a cozy spot to relax. Lush tropical foliage and vibrant flowers are visible in the foreground, while panoramic views of the ocean and distant islands stretch across the horizon.

Big lanai and outdoor kitchenette for open air living with gorgeous sunsets over the ocean. Stretch out in the California king bed and check out that view! Black out curtains add to your sleeping comfort. Nearby are many attractions, amazing snorkeling and hiking, a grocery & hardware store. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise!!

'Hale Iki' is a hidden treasure located in Volcano, Hawai'i. It is hand crafted entirely of cedar. The cottage is only 5 minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. You’ll love the coziness, privacy, high ceilings, loft, full kitchen, wood burning stove, and two-person tub. This house was built by my grandfather 30 years ago, and has retained the charm and warmth that he crafted into this cozy cottage.

Volcano Hidden Cottage is centralized location making exploring the East side of the Big Island easy. Very private, Full of Romance, Kitchen, fireplace, and lots of window overlooking rain forest.
