Swordale Stays, Highland cottage

Swordale is a small, quiet hamlet two miles up the hill from Evanton village. The house is actually part of a converted farm steading consisting of ten cottages, all made of natural stone. Ours is the only one fortunate enough to have a vaulted ceiling and Juliet balcony on the first floor, where the lounge is situated. Sealladh Dubh sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth, there's fishing - permit required - on the doorstep,beautiful views over the Black Isle. Dingwall town centre is a 10 minute walk - aprox 1/2 mile - with many cafes, restaurants, hotels, and pubs. The North Coast 500 route also passes through Dingwall. Hill walking and nature trails are also easily accessible or if it's beaches you're after, there's an abundance. We supply tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, bread, water and butter.
