Cottage holiday rentals in Heir Island

This stay was amazing! A perfect quiet retreat surrounded by the Irish countryside! The hosts are so nice and always responsive. Hope to go back again sometime!

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House! Location, location, location is what it was all about, just stunning! Great outdoor and indoor space for all of the family. We all enjoyed the sauna and it was just a pity that the hot tub was not in use, but it did not spoil anything. The only thing to be mindful of is the shortage of hot water when taking a shower, which i think has been mentioned in previous reviews. However, overall it's the most amazing location and house for a break in West Cork and we really hope we will be back one summer in the future!

Loved the house and amenities, the hydrobath and sauna are amazing and the view is beautiful. So nice chilling out in the jacuzzi looking at the mountains and stars

We had a wonderful stay at Gerard’s cottage! It was the perfect getaway. We especially loved the hot tub with the picturesque surroundings, so relaxing! It’s also super close to Clonakilty town and nearby beaches 🙌☺️

Amazing weekend will for sure be back to stay again. Cottages are perfect for a couple and are fitted with everything you need. The grounds the cottages are on are fantastic with a great view of the area.

Gerard was a lovely host. Beautiful grounds, would definitely stay here again. Very peaceful and very clean. Hot tub and sauna are a lovely addition to this already stunning airbnb.

We loved the location. It was great being able to bring the dogs with us, and go for walks to the nearby beach. The view from the garden was stunning. Finally, communication from Sarah was prompt and lots of useful recommendations for staying in the area. Thank you!

With no exaggeration, this was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The location is stunning, nestled in the Irish countryside. Peaceful doesn’t even begin to describe it. Even more serene and beautiful than the pictures on the listing. Everything was set up for me perfectly on arrival. Comfortable bed. Pristine bathroom with great water pressure. There was even a washing machine inside so I could wash clothes while I was there, which was incredibly helpful. Jack and his family are absolute gems. Seriously some of the nicest, most good-natured people I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. I’ll be telling people about my vacation here for the rest of my life. We spent a lovely New Year here. Karen's mum came over to check all was OK and she was really warm and friendly. A spacious house, very comfortable, located only a short walk from all amenities. Waterville is a great village and the surrounding area is stunning. We'll be back.

We loved our stay in Baltimore. Aisling and Donagh’s cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery, a short drive from the harbour and Lough Hyne. The cottage itself is very cosy, comfortable and well equipped. Aisling and Donagh were very helpful and welcoming hosts. Look forward to returning!

From the very beginning Tom was very helpful and always responsive. When we had problems he was quick to respond and help us in whatever we needed. He and his wife were very friendly and l loved talking to them. I highly recommend this place. Obviously you need a car to get around. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Had a wonderful stay with Frances. She was an amazing host, very warm and friendly. The accommodation was lovely. So cosy and a great place to get away to and have a rest by the fire and watch the cows wander by the gorgeous windows. Lovely accommodation in beautiful West Cork. really good restoration and conversion of two old dwellings. Kevin was easy to communicate with, providing prompt informative responses. We stayed in March when few places were open. Sugarloaf cafe worth a visit. And Garnish is a good day out. Had lovely weather, so enjoyed walking in the area around the cottage. Happy to recommend.

We absolutely loved our long weekend in Annette’s cottage - it was so cosy and had absolutely everything we needed. Annette was so friendly and a fantastic host - she gave us loads of recommendations and had even left a little welcome basket of goodies. We had the most relaxing weekend - will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at Des‘ cottage. If you are looking for a modern take on the traditional Irish Cottage - this is the place for you! Super cozy, has everything you need and more. Des provided everything for a delicious breakfast and was extremely helpful along the way. Also the place has everything if you are traveling with a small child as we were. 5 Star rating is more than deserved! We hope to be back :-)

We had a lovely stay at Riona’s and Paddy’s place. The appartement had everything we needed. Riona was super welcoming and we loved that she baked some fresh bread for us upon arrival. I would highly recommend staying here if you are exploring the Kingdom.

This was my second time staying and a wonderful experience. The location is just absolutely stunning and so very peaceful. A perfect place to spend a weekend with friends. I look forward to my next visit and would highly recommend the home for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxed beach holiday.

Wonderful cottage with easy access to the surrounding countryside and sites. Kate is a fantastic host who made us feel right at home and the delicious homemade bread, butter and jam was an unexpected and very welcome treat! Will definitely book again if/when we return! Thanks very much Kate!

Our second stay at the cottages in two years which is always a good indication of how at home I feel lhere. If you are looking for a complete switch off, amazing countryside and total chill out... This is the place to do it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Nick’s beautiful little cottage. It was warm and cosy with the option of electric heating or wood-burning heater. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. The bed was very comfortable. Nick gave us some excellent recommendations for touring and sightseeing. I highly recommend Nick’s cottage.

Pretty much excellent. Only small thing was the washing machine didn't work, but really not enough of an issue to detract from the full experience and plenty launderettes in town in any case so still 5*

Great place to stay and get away! The family completely unplugged. We enjoyed every second there. Note that it is a bit of a drive in (hour from Killarney), so plan accordingly. Scott did a great job of describing the place and location. House was perfect size with all the amenities.
