    How does the Airbnb Plus incentive programme work?

    Airbnb is offering an incentive programme to help hosts cover the cost of fixes they’ll need to complete to become verified for Airbnb Plus. Qualified hosts will receive an email inviting them to participate. The email will contain a deadline for their completed fixes and the amount of money being offered.

    If the fixes are submitted and approved by the deadline, Airbnb will send the incentive payment to the host’s Airbnb default payout method.

    Why is Airbnb offering me a payment incentive?

    We know that you’ve already put a lot of time and effort into joining the Airbnb Plus programme. While this money may not cover all your costs, we hope it helps you move forward more quickly so you can start enjoying the programme benefits. Read the terms and conditions.

    Purchasing and suppliers

    Do I need to submit receipts for my purchases or supplier payments?

    Since the incentive payment is a reward for completing your fixes quickly, rather than a direct reimbursement for your purchases, you don’t need to submit receipts. We trust you to use this money responsibly to help cover your expenses.

    What if I spend more on my fixes and updates than Airbnb has offered me?

    The amount of money that we’ve offered you is non-negotiable. If you spend additional money on your fixes, the difference won’t be reimbursed. However, if you spend less money than the amount we’ve offered, you get to keep the difference.

    Am I required to work with certain suppliers or make purchases from a specific shop?

    No, feel free to buy items for your home from any shop you choose and to use any supplier who meets your needs. We want Airbnb Plus homes to feel unique and local, and to represent your individual style as a host.

    Receiving the money

    How will I receive this money if I meet the deadline?

    After your final fix is submitted and approved, we’ll send the incentive payment to your default Airbnb payout method, the same way you receive a payout from a booking. You don’t need to set up a new account to receive it.

    How long will it take to receive this money?

    Once your fixes are submitted and approved, the payment will be initiated. If your fixes are approved before the deadline, the payment will be initiated at that time. Learn more about how long it takes to receive the money.

    About the deadline

    I’m not going to complete all my fixes by the deadline. What now?

    If all your fixes aren’t submitted and approved by the deadline, you won’t receive the incentive payment. Airbnb is not able to offer any extensions. If you miss the deadline, you can still move forward with Airbnb Plus and enjoy the programme benefits after you upgrade.

    What if I submit my fixes on the deadline date, but it takes Airbnb extra time to approve them?

    If you submit all your fixes on the deadline date, we’ll allow an additional two days for approval at our end.

    What happens if one of my fixes is rejected after the deadline?

    If you submit all your fixes by the deadline but some are rejected, contact Airbnb by responding via email to our original offer. We’ll review your submissions to determine if you should receive the incentive payment. This assessment will be made on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
