    I am eligible to book on Open Homes. How do I book?

    If you are eligible, you must have a verified account on Airbnb in order to book on Open Homes. To create your account, go to airbnb.com and click Sign Up. You’ll be asked to verify your birthday, email and phone number, as well as upload a government issued ID. You might also be prompted to upload a payment method - this is simply for account verification, you will not be charged for an Open Homes reservation.

    How to search for Medical or Refugee stays:

    1. Once you’ve been referred to Open Homes by a trusted nonprofit partner, go to Airbnb.com.
    2. Enter your destination, travel dates, and number of guests.
    3. Click Search.
    4. If you want, use the filters (for example, number of bedrooms) to narrow your options. Click More Filters to see all available filters.
    5. Scroll through the listings or use the map to find listings in the location you want.
    6. Click on a listing to open it. To learn more about it, read the description, check the available amenities, review the House Rules, and see reviews that other guests have left for the host.
    7. Contact the host to ask questions.
    8. If you’re ready to book, request to book the listing.

    How to search for Disaster Relief Stays:

    1. Visit the Open Homes Disaster Relief Page.
    2. Select the Option Find A Place to Stay.
    3. Select the Disaster Event you are impacted by.
    4. Select Find Housing.
    5. Use the filters (for example, number of bedrooms) to narrow your options. Click More Filters to see all available filters.
    6. Scroll through the listings or use the map to find listings in the location you want.
    7. Click on a listing to open it. To learn more about it, read the description, check the available amenities, review the House Rules, and see reviews that other guests have left for the host.
    8. Contact the host to ask questions.
    9. If you’re ready to book, request to book the listing.
    10. You’ll be required to complete an additional step on the booking page to confirm your eligibility for Open Homes.

    Once the reservation is accepted by the host, you’ll receive a confirmation email as well as the listing address and host’s phone number. If questions arise before check in, use the Contact host link to keep in communication with the host.
