Travel insurance and COVID-19
When purchasing a travel insurance policy, make sure you review carefully what’s covered. Also, check out the policy terms, conditions and exclusions since coverage, plans and providers differ around the world.
One important thing: travel insurance generally doesn’t cover a “foreseen event” – or one that has a reasonable expectation of taking place – even if that event is one of the covered reasons. COVID-19 may be considered a foreseen event and is likely not to be covered by most travel insurance policies.
We do have information on travel insurance and where to buy it, but this is for general educational purposes only.
The fine print: Airbnb does not currently offer travel insurance or endorse the products or services of any travel insurance companies, agents or brokers.
