120-year-old dojo inn

Opened in August 2020, Onomachi Yard is a one-group-per-day inn located in a renovated 120-year-old white-walled storehouse in the heart of Hida Furukawa. For those who want to enjoy Hida leisurely, for those who want to spend a quiet time, as well as those who want to stretch their legs a little further to Hida Takayama, the World Heritage Shirakawa-go, Okuhida Onsen, Shinhotaka Ropeway, Kanoka-cho, where the world's largest underground neutrino observatory Super Kamiokande is located, and the activity "Gattango!!" that combines cycling and the abandoned railway.etc., please enjoy your favorite style based on Onomachi Yard. A house that combines a traditional Japanese house with a Western-style house reminiscent of Taisho Romance and Showa Retro. The small but dignified Japanese garden, built over 100 years ago, welcomes you to the private rental inn, "Dai-mae house". This inn, "Daimae", is located in a temple complex to the east of the Takayama Basin. If you go up the stairs along the mossy stone wall from the road, you will be greeted by a protruding pine tree. When you open the lattice doors, you can see a Japanese garden on the right that seems to have been built over 100 years ago. Enter the front entrance, and enter the living room from the tatami mat hallway, from where you can see the Japanese garden. Further down the hall is a tea room, where you can sit and watch the Japanese garden, which is small but has a sense of elegance.
