Dundavie Cottage, Aberfeldy, Scotland

RaviRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a truly wonderful stay at Frances & Angus’s place in Aberfeldy. The idyllic location, surrounded by stunning natural beauty, offered the perfect mix of privacy and tranquility. We especially appreciated the peaceful setting and how easily we could walk into the lovely village of Aberfeldy. The cottage itself was fully equipped with everything we needed, including fast WiFi, which made it easy to enjoy leisurely breakfasts and cozy dinners in after days spent exploring. It felt like a real home away from home. Our visits to the nearby glens and waterfalls made the stay even more special and added to the sense of calm and escape. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a beautiful part of Scotland. Thank you, Frances & Angus, for sharing your wonderful place with us!

Drumduan Mill

PeterRating, 5 stars35 months ago
we enjoyed the amount of space we had and thought that the house was good value for money. The house was unusual and aesthetically pleasing - this added to our enjoyment of the place. We appreciated that there was a good dishwasher and a wide range of plates and cups. It was good that we had so many books on the bookshelves. We both really enjoyed the deep bath. We were pleased that there was an enclosed area outside where we could play with our dog. We had very tasty fish and chips one night from the shop in Nairn High street which is next to a Chinese take away. Nairn beach was lovely and spacious.

Cosy stone barn in country setting

MikeRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The cottage was easy to find and had everything we needed for our stay, although not far from the A9, it was very peaceful and all of the locals were friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfy and was firm enough for me with a bad back. The log burner was a bonus and we enjoyed seeing the birds using the hanging feeders. We cooked our own food in the evenings and the kitchen facilities were excellent with everything we needed, we liked the vintage crockery. It was very convenient for exploring the east and visiting friends at Ardgay. Great property in a great location will be staying again.

The Bothy

LisaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful break at the Bothy! It was perfect for an extended long weekend. The Bothy is well stocked with toiletries, cleaning products and plenty of cooking utensils & crockery - with a lovely view throughout the property. A perfect wee place to stay for dolphin watching at Chanonry Point, for interesting flora & woodland walks and for marvellous pizza from The Sutar Creek in Cromarty. The property was very clean and welcoming with the added bonus of a woodburning stove. Our labrador Poppy who does not generally like being away from home settled in very well & quickly, and it was a lovely break for us all. Highly recommended. Would stay again.

Fyrish View - Luxury Studio with Private Patio

KaraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Nice and peaceful. A car is required to get around the area. Juliet was kind and communicative. We loved our time in the Highlands and in Fyrish View. Plenty to do in the area - Cromarty was a lovely little seaside town and Dingwall was easy to get to for shopping and railway links. We would stay again.

Beautiful 4 bedroom Barn Conversion, lovely views

BernadetteRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our little break away. We all loved the surrounding, so beautiful and picturesque. Had a walk around the gardens to meet the chickens, geese, peacocks and saw the horses, cows and sheep on our walk. Deer was also visible across from the farm in the open part of the forest. The house itself has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable. After busy days of visiting tourist attractions (lots of castles) we enjoyed relaxing in the living room with the log burner fire on and we played games with the kids. Games are provided and we also brought our own favourites, which was great for the rainy evenings. Getting there was easy following sat nav and was well signed the closer you got there. Rebecca was friendly and quick to respond, an excellent host and everyone that we met on the farm was so friendly. Checking in and out was a breeze as well. Would absolutely recommend for long and short stays and we hope to visit again.

Cozy cottage on berry farm with private beach

BronwynRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We are a family of four with two young girls and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. A very lovely and comfortable cottage, well equipped and Maddie kindly left us milk in the fridge and delicious biscuits on arrival. It's a quick 40 mins to glenshee ski centre and we were lucky enough to have snow. The kids loved sledding and having a winter hike. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area near the river amongst blueberry and cherries trees, sadly as we came in winter they were not in bloom but you can tell how magnificent it would have been. Would recommend!

The Hayloft - near Aviemore

AlexRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay at the Hayloft was the most magical, fun and memorable experience. Having stayed at many different types of airbnb’s over the years, we found that the experience at the Hayloft surpassed all others while encompassing the essence of what a short break away should be. The hosts Lynne and Paul were incredibly friendly, knowledgable and courteous - we have to say above all else they really made the difference. We enjoyed every second in the most idyllic hideaway, in the midst of an abundance of nature, with forests and lakes on the doorstep, but close enough to the local amenities that meant every wish was catered for. Absolutely worth the money, absolutely worth the time, absolutely beautiful.

EmilyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We were very comfortable here and felt very welcome with the dogs. We really appreciated the excellent welcome pack on arrival which allowed us to have a cup of tea and supper! The location was perfect for us, quiet and peaceful and very close to Pluscarden abbey, which is beautiful and well worth visiting. We were very cosy at night, the bedroom was nice and warm despite cold weather. We hope we can return soon. Thank you!

Plockton, Camus Fearn Barn

JaniceRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Beautiful barn in great, peaceful location. Warm, clean, all the facilities you’d need, spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Beautiful views, added bonus of seeing millions of stars and the northern lights on our first night! Handy for touring local area, Plockton is a lovely village to explore, also good location for Isle of Skye. Aileen was very friendly, giving advice on local area but not at all intrusive.

The Old Dairy, cottage on Highland Farm

SamanthaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at The Old Dairy was just perfect! It was warm and cosy with all the amenities you could possibly need. It really felt like a home from home. We were slightly delayed in our arrival but Carolyn was so helpful and greeted us in person. The location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and we were helped out with what to see and do as well. The breakfast at the farm shop on site was delicious! Highly recommend! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Balmacaan Steading - Luxury Self Catering, Cawdor

HeidiRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Our stay was absolutely incredible - we were met by Neil and Catriona just after we arrived at the beautiful front gates and the accommodation was exactly as the photos and description, so beautiful. We felt relaxed straight away and Neil and Cat were so helpful with local recommendations, how to get to the pub, when the deli was open etc. Cawdor is such a peaceful place and we could stroll to the pub, the deli and Cawdor Castle from the door! It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the views and watch the chickens pecking around in the garden and the robot grass cutter keeping the lawns pristine (we nicknamed him Robbie!)😂 All the extra details in the house such as beautiful white bed linen and huge soft towels, a lovely welcome basket, gorgeous Scottish body wash/soaps and things like oil, milk, dishwasher tablets, cling film etc were much appreciated. April is a lovely time in this part of Scotland and we loved the area, I think we'll be back! Thank you so much Cat and Neil! 😊

The Barn @ 28a

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely stay in The Barn. Set in a peaceful neighbourhood, it was a short walk to the local shops and a private beach, and a nice location from which to explore Stornoway. The house was very cozy, with comfortable beds, and great shower water pressure—much appreciated after windy beach walks. Kathryn was a fantastic host, and went above and beyond to help us very jet lagged folks arrive and settle in. Thanks, Kathryn, for sharing your place with us!
